Outdoor Ethiopia's first trip of the Ethiopian new year to the beautiful #Derba_waterfall and the Derba-Moghor valley has set the tone for what our adventures are going to look like this year: exciting, breathtaking nature with the best of what the local markets offer. Our trip to the #Derba_waterfall was repeated for Derba is the most wonderful #springtime destination with the blooming daisies and the lush green valleys covered in spring colors. The #Derba_waterfall, that misty column of water playing in the wind, is almost a beautiful aberration in all this; the beauty is endless. Stay tuned for what's coming.

#የደርባ_ፏፏቴ

ደርባ ከአዲስ አበባ 70 ኪ.ሜ ርቀት በፊንፊኔ ዙሪያ ሱሉልታ ወረዳ ውስጥ የምትገኝ ትንሽ ከተማ ስትሆን ወደዚህ ስፍራ ለማምራት በጎጃም መውጫ ጫንጮ ከተማ እንደ ደረስን በስተግራ ተገንጥለን ወደ 30 ኪሜ ከተጓዝን በኋላ የምናገኛት ከተማ ነች።

#ደርባ የሚለው የአፋን ኦሮሞ ቃል ሲሆን ትርጉሙም “እርሶ ይለፉ” ማለት ነው። ደርባ ይህን ስያሜ ያገኘችው ዙሪያውን ገደላማ፣ መንገዱ ጠባብ እና አንድ ሰው የሚያሳልፍ በመሆኑ ቦታው ላይ ለማለፍ ደርባ ደርባ “እርሶ ይለፉ እርሶ ይለፉ” እየተባባሉ ትህትናን የሚያሳዩበት ስለነበር በዚህም የተነሳ ደርባ የሚለውን ስያሜ እንዳገኘች ይነገርላታል።

#ደርባ እጅግ በጣም ውብ የሆነ ገደላማ ስፍራ ሲኖረው የአባይ ገባር የሆነው የሙገር ወንዝ በስሩ ስለሚያልፍ የሙገር ገደላማ ስፍራ የሚል ስያሜን አሰጥቶታል፤ ይህን ገደላማ ስፍራ ቦታው ላይ ሆኖ ለተመለከው ሰው እጅግ በጣም ማራኪ የሆነን እይታ ከመፍጠሩ ባሻገር የቅልጥም ሰባሪ አሞራ በላዩ እያንዣበበ መመልከት ደግሞ ሌላኛው ዉበት ነው። በኢትዮጲያ ብቻ የሚገኘው #የጭላዳ_ዝንጀሮም የቦታው ሌላኛው ውበት ነው።

ትልቁ የደርባ ድንቅ መስህብ እና መዳረሻ የሆነው #የአለልቱ_ወንዝ ወደ ገደሉ ሲፈስ የሚፈጥረው #የደርባ_ፏፏቴ ነው። ፏፏቴው ከ2450 ባህር ጠለል ከፍታ ላይ ቁልቁል 100 ሜትር እየተምዘገዘገ ይወርዳል።

ሌላኛው የዚህ ስፍራ ውበት እና ድምቀት የአካባቢው ማህበረሰቦች ናቸው። የኢትዮጲያ እንግዳ አቀባበሏ እንዴት ነው ብሎ ለሚጠይቅ ሰው እንዲህ ነው ብሎ ከመናገር ይልቅ ወደ #ደርባ ወስዶ ማህበረሰቡን ማሳየት ጥሩ ምላሽ ነው ብለን እናምናለን። #ደርባን ለመጎብኘት የመስከረም ወር ተመራጭ ነው።
