if you live in the UK there's a parallel petition too
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/702074/
it's up to you guys because I really don't think any other first world country will adopt these kinds of policies unless there's outside pressure from a friendly government
anyway here's an unrelated video of a "new European" recording the cultural enrichment it is bringing to wherever this is

I've been making a lot of unrelated posts here lately so sorry for the repeated intermissions. π
I've seen this blow up on twitter shitting on zoomers, what they don't understand is that this isn't really a failure of zoomers to socialize it's the failure of their parents who did everything they could to prevent zoomers from socializing.
How many times have you heard your parents or anyone in their generation say things like "When I was a kid [x] was more dangerous but it was more fun" or "When I was your age we were allowed to do [x]"
Its the same thing with social media too, Zoomers were raised on making 500 emails for alt accounts to get banned, it's not zoomers making the nanny state it's zoomers attempting to survive it yet boomers and gen x pretend zoomers are extremely fragile (this is only true for the weird dyed hair redditor demographic).
It's the failure of gen x at being parents (and their severe lack of accountability) that has a lot to do with the problems that zoomers face.

I wondered for years, how the effect of the dark spell of fear (that was 9/11 and 'war on terror') would play out for those born directly into this state. The mass of people went into celebrating safety and protection, going along with the ethos of the growing surveillance state.
These principles bled over into parenting. Parents made it nearly a competition, suddenly "caring" about children meant sheltering them from all risk.
I dont need to explain how destructive this is.
With my sons, I used the principle of gradually increasing risk, and freedom. This builds trust, stability, and self-governance.
The unwillingness of elder generations to take responsibility for things they largely influenced reveals their lack of self-awareness.
