- Vilanterol [vve-LAN-ter-ol] an ultra
long-acting ß2 agonist (ultra-LABA), it was approved by FDA in 2013 for COPD. In 2015, approved once-daily treatment for asthma in people 2 18 years. Breo® Ellipta contraindicated in patients with severe milk protein allergy.

- Indacaterol [IN-da-KA-ter-ol] is the first ultra-LABA, approved only for long-term control of COPD symptoms (not used in chronic asthma).

Because the longer using of LABA lead to decrease sensitivity of Beta 2 receptors to drug,,
So, the corticosteroids increase sensitivity of Beta 2 receptors to inhaler drug.

1)Increasing number and sensitivity of B2 receptors

2) Reducing mucus production and hypersecretion.

3) Reducing airway edema and exudation.

4)Reducing bronchial hyperresponsiveness(BHR)
