It's abnormal accumilation of substance ( harmless or harmful) at any cell

*Protein accumilation: يحدث عند من ؟
-Alcohol pt "Mallory bodies" مهمة جدا
- alzheimers "neurofibrally on nuron" مهمة
- nephrotic syndrome
- Russell bodies in multiple myeloma
(Malignant plasma cell )

*cholesterol accumilation:
- foam cell (macrophage + cholesterol)
-atherosclerosis
- xanthoma

* accumilation of fat : شورت نوت

- ⬆️ entry of fat ( food)

- DM / Obesity

Morphology:
نلقاها fat droplets in cytoplasm لو كانت early
نلقاها fat droplets fused and push nucleus to peripheral لو كانت late وهذي مهمة
Most common fatty liver caused by DM and ALCOHOL ( reversible)
But CCL poisoning is ( irreversible)

* hyaline change :
Ex is thickening in basement membrane due to HTN

*pigment accumilation: هذي اهم نقطة تقراها في كورس هذا
A) exogenous pigment:
وتشمل الاتي
- carbon ( coworker) blacking of lung
- silica (silicosis) fibrosis of lung
- iron ( siderosis)

B) endogenous pigment :
وتشمل الاتي
- lipofucin/ melanin
- hemosidrin مهمة جدا معناها تراكم الحديد
If accumulating without damage
Called ( hemosidrosis)
If accumulating with damage
Called ( hemochromatosis)
وهذا يسبب الاتي

3- heart failure

تشخيصها ب : Prussian blue

*generalized hemosidrin: اسبابها
1- no iron utilize

3- blood transfusion

- area of coagulation
-caesous and liqufactive necrosis
- enzymatic fat necrosis
- atherosclerosis

Cause of hyprcalcemia :
-hyperthyroidism
-hyperparathyrodism
- vit D intoxification
- Addison disease
-multiple myeloma
-sarcoidosis
-milk- alkali syndrome

*B9 , B12 deficiency: megaloblstic anemia
*vit C deficiency: scurvy, gum bleeding
* vit D deficiency: Rickets in children
Osteomalacia in adult
* vit k deficiency: bleeding decrease in coagulation مهمة

*zinc deficiency: impird wound healing
And acrodermatits enteropatheca

*Copper excess زيادة مش نقصان افطنلها
تؤدي الى : liver cirrhosis و Wilson disease مهمة جدا
*iodine deficiency: goiter

* Obesity: abnormal increase in body mass ,increase in BMI

BMI = weight/ high in meters ^2
