Public Seminar on Ethical AI & Data Security in Digital Education Held at AASTU

AASTU, in collaboration with the NURTURE Project, recently held a public seminar on Ethical AI and Data Security in Digital Education. The event brought together national and international experts who discussed ethical issues, data security challenges, and the role of AI in supporting research, student assessment, and automation. Faculty, students, and industry professionals joined both in-person and online, making it a vibrant platform for advancing ethical and secure AI in education.

በአዲስ አበባ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የ2018 ዓ.ም በጀት ቅድመ ዝግጅት አስመልክቶ የተሻለ የግዥ እና ንብረት እስተዳደር ለማረጋገጥ ለዩኒቨርሲቲው አመራሮች እና በቀጥታም ይሁን በተዘዋዋሪ ለሚመለከታቸው የስራ ክፍሎች በመንግስት የግዥ እና ንብረት እስተዳደር ዙሪያ የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ ስልጠና ተሰጠ፡፡
ስልጠናውን የዩኒቨርሲቲው የግዥ ስራ አስፈፃሚ ከሚመለከታቸው አካላት ጋር በመተባበር የተዘጋጀ ሲሆን ከኢፌዲሪ የመንግስት ግዥና ንብረት ባለስልጣን የመጡ ባለሙያዎች በመንግስት የኤሌክትሮኒክ ግዥ ፤በአዲሱ የግዥ እና ንብረት አስተዳደር አዋጅ ዙሪያ ስልጠናውን ሰጥተዋል፡፡
የዩኒቨርሲቲው የግዥ ስራ አስፈፃሚ አቶ አርዓያ ብዙአየሁ እንደገለፁት ይህ ስልጠና የ2018 ዓ.ም ስራ ከመጀመሩ በፊት በተሻሻላ የመንግስት ግዥ እና ንብረት አስተዳደር ዙሪያ የዩኒቨርሲቲው አመራሮች እና የሚመለከታቸው ክፍሎች ግንዛቤ እንዲኖራቸው ለማስቻል ያለመ መሆኑን ገልፀዋል፡፡

Ph.D. Candidate Beksa Amente Kumsa Successfully Defends Dissertation on Jurassic Antalo Limestone Formation

Beksa Amente , a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Geology (Sedimentary Geology) at AASTU, has successfully defended her dissertation titled “Facies Architecture, Diagenesis, Paleontology, and Depositional Environment of the Middle to Upper Jurassic Antalo Limestone Formation in the Blue Nile Basin, Central Ethiopia.”
She conducted her research under the supervision of Dr. Balemwal Atnafu (Associate Professor), Dr. Solomon Kassa, and Dr. Gilamichael K. Domenico. She is the first Ph.D. candidate in the history of the Department of Geology at AASTU.
Beksa’s study provides comprehensive insights into the facies architecture, diagenetic processes, and paleontological characteristics of the Antalo Limestone Formation
