AASTU Welcomes New International Students

Addis Ababa Science and Technology University has welcomed a new group of international students from Somaliland, Puntland, and South Sudan. The event took place on campus in the presence of the University President, Dr. Dereje Engida, other responsible office holders and Students’ union representatives.
Dr. Dereje noted that AASTU is internationally recognized for its accredited programs. He said students who join the university earn degrees accepted worldwide. He encouraged the newcomers to work hard in their studies and take part in extracurricular activities to build soft skills. He also reminded them to return home after graduation and help address the needs of their countries.
During the orientation, students received key information on academic programs, enrollment and registrar guidelines, campus life, and support services. They also oriented about how the Academic Affairs Office assists international students.

የአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የ75ኛ ዓመት የአልማዝ ኢዮቤልዩ በዓል የዩኒቨርሲቲዎች የእግር ኳስ ውድድር ከህዳር 20 - 27/ 2018 ዓ.ም አካሂዷል ፡፡ በዚህም የአዲስ አበባ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በመጀመሪያው ዙር ኮተቤ የትምህርት ዩኒቨርሲቲን በማሸነፍ ለዋንጫ መድረሱ ይታወቃል፡፡ በመሆኑም አዲስ አበባ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ህዳር 27/2018 ዓ.ም አስተናጋጁን አዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲን በመለያ ምት በማሸነፍ የዋንጫ ባለቤት ሆኗል፡፡ በጨዋታው የሁለቱም ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች ተጫዋጮች ድንቅ ብቃታቸውን ያሳዩበት ቢሆንም ቴክኖሎጂስቶች በመጨረሻ ዋንጫውን የግላቸው አድርገዋል፡፡ በዚህም ህዳር 28/2018 ዓ.ም ለአሸናፊው የእግር ኳስ ቡድን የማበረታቻ እና የእውቅና መርሃ-ግብር ተከሂዷል፡፡
በመርሃ ግብሩ ላይ ዶ/ር ደረጀ እንግዳ የዩኒቨርሲቲው ፕሬዝዳንት፤ ዶ/ር ሰለሞን ተስፋዬ የተማሪዎች አገልግሎት ዲን እና አሰልጣኞች ተገኝተው ተማሪዎችን አበረታተዋል፡፡
ዶ/ር ደረጀ በመርሐ-ግብሩ ላይ እንደ ገለፁት የአዲስ አበባ ሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ተማሪዎች ባለ ብዙ ተሰጥኦ መሆናቸውን እና ይህንን ተሰጥኦ በማሳደግ ለራሳቸውም ለሃገርም የሚጠቅሙ እንዲሆኑ አሳስበዋል፡፡
