Science, Technology, and Innovation for Industry (STII, 2024)

AASTU is going to host the 8th Annual International Research Conference on Science, Technology, and Innovation for Industry (STII, 2024) on May 16 and 17, 2024. The Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, the Research and Centre of Excellence Directorate, the Centre of Excellences, the research publication and distribution coordination, and the Research Grant Management Offices are organizing this special international research conference.

The paper and poster presenters, keynote speakers, and invited guests are from all around the world. Researchers, technologists, and innovators from AASTU and other Ethiopian higher education institutions and industries, as well as from Nigeria, South Africa, China, and Russia, came together in Addis Ababa to share their research expertise, promote their businesses, and showcase their new inventions.

Dear AASTU’s researchers, postgraduate and undergraduate students, you are cordially invited to attend this distinctive international research conference within AASTU's history.

The 8th Annual Research Conference on Science, Technology, and Innovation for Industry (STII 2024) is being held.
This year's conference is themed "Science, Technology, and Innovation for Industry." Industry experts, researchers from abroad, and domestic researchers are attending, presenting their research findings and posters’ presentations focusing on science, technology, and innovations.
The conference is officially opened by the Guest of Honor, Dr.Baysa Bedada, the State Minister of Innovation and Technology.
Over the two-days conference, researchers from universities, industry practitioners, and researchers from various research centers will present their impactful research findings.

ለ8ተኛ ጊዜ ዘንድሮው እተካሄደ የሚገኙው አመታዊ የምርምር ጉባኤው ሳይንስ ቴክኖሎጂ እና ኢኖቬሽን ለኢንዱስትሪ በሚል መሪ ሃሳብ የውጭ ሃገራት እና የሃገር ውስጥ ተመራማሪዎች፤ የመንግስት ሃላፊዎች፤ የኢንዱስትሪ ባለሙያዎች ከተለያዩ የምርምር ማዕከላት የመጡ ምሁራን በተገኙበት እየተካሄደ ይገኛል፡፡ የምርምር ጉባኤውን የኢኖቬሽን እና ቴክኖሎጂ ሚኒስቴር ዴኤታ የተከበሩ ዶ/ር ባይሳ በዳዳ በይፋ አስጀምረዋል፡ ፡
ለሁለት ቀናት በሚቆው የምርምር ጉባኤ ከውጭ እና ከሃገር ውስጥ የመጡ ተመራማሪዎች ፤የኢንዱስትሪ ባለሙያዎች ተፅዕኖ ፈጣሪ የሆኑ የምርምር ውጤታቸውን እና ፖስተሮችን ያቀርባሉ ፡፡
Keynote Speakers Highlight the Impact of Applied Research on National Development at the 8th Research Conference (STII ,2024) Held at AASTU

As previously stated, AASTU's 8th annual international research conference is proceeding successfully. During the conference's half-day, six substantial speakers from various fields of academia presented their research expertise, research findings, entrepreneurial skills, and recommendations on how to update and increase existing research knowledge for future application.

The first keynote speaker of the day, Professor Dereje Ayalew of Addis Ababa University, discussed Ethiopian about Geology and untaped mineral resources. According to the professor, Ethiopia possesses numerous untaped mineral resources. He urged young researchers and students in undergraduate and graduate programmes to open their eyes and produce empirical evidence of how important the area is to the country's economy.

Mr. Yao Weihua and Mr. He Xiaojum from China were the second speakers, discussing CIAE's experience in research reactors to help Africa with the peaceful use of atomic energy. They discussed China's experience with atomic energy utilization and output. Dr. Wubshet was the other speaker from AAU. During his speech, he attempted to emphasize the importance of artificial intelligence in construction management. According to Dr Wubshet, artificial intelligence is a key instrument in today's companionship. Dr. Wubshet also emphasized the importance of handling the problems that AI presents in order to reap the benefits of its positive impact on our daily lives.

Dr. Michel, the founder of Trideal House in Belgium, delivered a speech on achieving sustainable development goals in the industry, including initiatives and insights for Ethiopia. Dr. Michel is now working a prototype for the Trideal House project in AASTU. He underlined that one of the United Nations' long-term objectives is to meet the basic needs of people. Professor Tsegaye Nega, the founder of Anega Energies, gave an informative presentation. He shared his personal and professional experiences in the United States and Ethiopia.
The speech, which was presented by Dr Masamba Kah from Russia, focused on industrial-educational partnerships and the Pan African natural resources to human capital transit concept. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of nuclear education, how Russia became a nuclear powerhouse, the potential for nuclear education in Russia, and Russia's practical training experience in nuclear. Finally, the open session came to the conclusion with questions and answers from the speeches' presenters and conference participants.

The papers and posters are being put forth in the afternoon in five syndicates at AASTU's compound.
