What went wrong ?
Just observe this marksheet,
⏰ The candidate has done well in Paper 1 of history - The popular perception was Map question has been difficult, which surely was. Then what led to such high marks in paper 1. From my experience, I can vouch for is Answer Writing. This person continuously did Answer Writing with us.
⏰ The second observation is bad score in GS paper 1. So one can surely say, even if you know History and you don't do paper specific practise, you may not be able to score good in GS paper 1. After a personal interaction, we know what lacked was dedicated answer Writing practise.
So the doubts are now :
✓ How to do Answer Writing Practise ?
✓ What separates GS answers from Optional Answers ?
We will be addressing these in our next message series.
Hope you have got this clarity about answer writing. In case you want to see how to Ancient India Answer Writing practise, click here.

Do you know the meaning of Contextual Introduction?
Let's understand through an example !!
Yesterday, we have posted an Essay topic for you to attempt, as part of Our "Weekly Essay Challenge". We will take that topic to understand how you can write "Contextual Introduction".
Essay Topic:
History repeats itself, first as a tragedy, second as a farce.
Contextual Introduction
Karl Marx's famous sentence "History repeats itself, first as a tragedy, second as a farce", was crafted amid the political upheavals following the French coup d'état of 1851, where Louis Napoleon seized dictatorial power. The “tragedy” refers to the earnest French Revolution of 1789, which aimed to dismantle oppressive structures and establish a society based on liberty, equality, and fraternity.
However, the subsequent rise and fall of leaders, like Napoleon Bonaparte and later his nephew Louis Napoleon, exemplified the "farce." Louis Napoleon’s ascent to power through an 1851 coup led to the Second Empire, which mimicked his uncle's rule but lacked the revolutionary fervor, reducing profound ideals to tools for political gain.
Marx critiqued this dilution of revolutionary zeal into opportunism, highlighting the decay of noble origins into shallow, self-serving enactments, illustrating the cyclical nature of history where profound changes devolve into trivial pursuits.
This is how you are expected to write Contextual Introduction. You need to know under what circumstances and in which context the remark has been made. If you don't have complete information then better try to Introduce in some other ways. We will discuss the different ways to write impactful Introduction in the coming days.

What is Live-in Relationship?
A live-in relationship involves two individuals cohabitating together without any legal obligations or responsibilities towards each other. This arrangement permits either partner to walk in or out of the relationship at their discretion.
Why Do Modern-Day Couples Prefer Live-in Relationships?
➡️Compatibility Testing: Couples can test their compatibility with each other before entering into a marital relationship, allowing for well-informed decisions.
➡️Ease of Dissolution: Partners can dissolve the relationship without undergoing lengthy judicial proceedings, making it simpler to end if necessary.
➡️Flexibility: The flexible nature of live-in relationships allows couples to maintain their independence while being together.
➡️Reduced Marital Issues: By avoiding the potential for conjugal disloyalty and marital unease associated with marriage, couples may experience fewer conflicts.
➡️Potential for Stability: Couples who choose premarital cohabitation may benefit from increased stability if they later decide to marry, having already ascertained their compatibility.
