What's going on?
Is this sub just full of people who have put their last £10 on BTC or something? All the posts at the minute are just boring. Crying about a 10-15% dip, if you can't afford to lose a few quid you shouldn't be in the space. It's just another form of investing and the advice given always is don't ever invest money you can't afford to lose.
Zoom out, this is a small dip on an otherwise massive bullish trend. Either take your money out and stop stressing or just shut up crying. Nobody actually cares.

We are so so early
I spoke to a man today in his 50s and asked him what he thought about bitcoin. This man is intelligent and very into analyzing stocks and buying re estate. He said bitcoin hold to many risks as it could be regulated and there is no way to know how much bitcoin there will ever be. He talked about how bitcoin can be created just like any other fiat so it’s no different then trading any fiat currency. It’s unbelievable to me how most people don’t understand how awesome this little internet coin really is!

People are lining up for hours to buy gold… I’m just stacking sats from my couch.
Been seeing videos of people queuing for hours just to buy a few grams of physical gold. Long lines, limited stock, and prices through the roof.
Gold had its time — it’s scarce enough, but it’s also heavy, hard to move, and impossible to audit without trusting someone else. You can’t teleport it, you can’t verify it, and governments can seize it anytime they want.
Bitcoin fixes all that. It’s scarce by code — 21 million, auditable by anyone, portable across borders, divisible to eight decimals, and impossible to counterfeit. I don’t need permission to hold it, move it, or verify it.
So while people are standing in line hoping to get a few grams of metal, I’m on my couch stacking sats — watching Netflix, holding the hardest money humanity’s ever created.
The digital gold doesn’t need a jewelry store.

I didn’t know what would happen — I just knew running my own node was the right thing to do.
When I started setting up my Bitcoin node, there wasn’t any hype or panic in the air. No “gold rush” headlines, no drama. I just felt it was something important — something I should do.
I believe decentralization only works when regular people take part in it. That’s why I built my setup: a full node running 24/7, and two humble Bitaxes mining directly against it. No pools, no trust, no shortcuts.
It took patience and a lot of trial and error, but now everything runs smoothly — fully independent, fully mine.
I’m not doing it for money. I’m doing it because Bitcoin’s strength depends on individuals like us who decide to verify, not trust.
Big players can hold coins. But the network survives because we run it.
This is my small contribution to true decentralization.

How many of you invest in precious metals as well?
I’m about .04 BTC away from being a whole-coiner. Part of me feels like once I hit that milestone, I should start investing in gold, silver, etc. One the other hand, BTC has never let me down as long as I’ve continued to HODL. All my BTC purchases have been large singular purchases, and I have never DCA’d since starting in 2023, so that might still be an option for me.
Just wondering how many of you also “diversify” into other investments like precious metals or other tangible assets, and if it is a good move in the long run. Thanks!
