Homeownership vs BTC

Anybody else in the prime first time home buying age group looking at this disgusting housing market and rising costs of ownership and deciding they’d rather just buy bitcoin and rent? This housing market is dominated by boomers who’ve built up equity over decades and will continue to price out younger generations. Buying today seems like a one way ticket to house poverty while Bitcoin stands to appreciate higher over time. Would love to hear from others in the same boat

Holy Jesus DO NOT USE COINSTAR MACHINES

A couple years ago I was able to use this machine to process about 500 dollars in piggy bank coins and get Bitcoin. It was easy, seamless, no private information, and due to some weird communication hiccup I didn't even get charged a fee. I went to the grocery store today and WOW it is a world of difference. Huge scam signs pop and flash now you have to make a choices to move forward. The haptic button sounds is so loud someone could hear it shopping in the isles. At least two crazy things like embarrassing things about your life will be released warnings and crypto scams, hang up the phone now etc. The take was ridiculous, they took 15% of the change total. You have to enter your phone and birthday before you can put money in the thing. They send you a verification to your phone, another privacy leak.

This isn't even the worst part. THEY DON'T GIVE YOU BITCOIN. You have to download the CINQ app to get it. NOW ITS FULL KYC. Scan your drivers license, your address, your email address, your legal name. At this point I want to just say fuck this and consider that money lost. I might as well undress for the camera and have my privates posted to Instagram.

FOR FUCKING CHANGE

OH AND THE SPREAD IS 131k Bitcoin with an $8 transaction fee.
