How to keep one of the werewolves in central yjarnum from glitching through the stairs

I’m farming the two werewolves in central yharnum for echoes, viles, and shards; but the first one keeps glitching through the steps after it’s been killed. On very rare occasions it won’t but it has been 9 times out of 10. I’m not new to bloodborne but I’ve never had this problem before.
