Is it worth leveling Arcane just to use hunter tools?
I found some hunter tools and wanna use them, is it worth leveling up Arcane for this purpose only? Currently using Ludwig’s Holy Blade with a quality build.

Laurence the First Vicar
I was so annoyed by this boss (trying him in NG+ where I accidentally ended up because I was “going blind”) I quit Bloodborne for a year, even though this boss is optional.
Came back for another try, maxed out on my str and Dex and hp and stamina and this thing is absolutely nasty. Valtr is a bit of help, but this must be the worst designed boss in history. I’ve seen all the videos, using whirligig saw +7 and Ludwig’s Holy Blade +10, but this assholes HP is so ridiculously inflated and his damage so huge because I’m in NG, that I’m not making a sufficient dent. Every now and then I get to stage 2, but Valtr dies in the lava and I’m cooked.
If anyone has a cheese or whatever secret sauce, please help. 😀. I no longer care for the game because of this, but wanted to make the last effort .

I was looking through my old drawings and I found these two Bloodborne fanarts I made in 2018, right after I finished the game for the first time

I fucking love Vicar Amelia.
Not only is she the hottest furry in all fromsoft games, she's also the best boss in the game tied with Lady Maria. (I swear I'm not simping) I genuinely enjoy these fights. She has one of the best movesets in the game, she may actually be on par with Morgott from Elden Ring with having so many of them, I'm not even kidding. And the fact she heals is a blessing for me, it means I just get to fight her more, even with an unupgraded weapon.
Her visual and sound design are unparalleled, and has the best cutscene in the game, it feels like a horror game.
Yet from what I see on most people's rankings, people rank her too low. Of course she's gonna be easy if you have a +6 serrated weapon with a fire paper. And of course she's gonna be hard if you don't.
Anyways, she's a perfect boss to a perfect area in a perfect game.
Put on some gothic music while you fight her and enjoy absolute cinema.

I had no idea the game would be this hard
Holy shit. I’ve platinumed Elden Ring and Sekiro and I can confidently say the first parts of both of those games were much easier than this.
I know part of my issue is that I’m playing on controller, which I’m bad at and can barely get the hang of, while I played ER and Sekiro on PC. I also seem to be running out of resources so quickly. I feel like as soon as I run out of heals I always just die to the next enemy. The dodges also feel very weird and not like ER dodges, almost clunkier in a way? Maybe they’re just different and I have to get used to them.
In the first level I can consistently get past the big crowd standing around the pyre but the wolves on the bridge really fuck me up most of the time. I have not made it to the boss which I know is at the end of the bridge. I’m kind of getting the hang of the parry system in this game which feels very nice but I’m not there yet.
I know the answer is “just keep playing” but it feels so demoralizing and frustrating to have to keep fighting the same enemies over and over again.
Does anyone have any advice or tips I should know? Maybe someone who’s also transitioned from KBM to controller and has advice on adjusting? I’d be very grateful for anything at all. <3
