Pistons Preseason Poll
Hello, I am currently conducting surveys for the fanbases of all 30 teams before the regular season officially starts. If you could fill out this poll once, that would be greatly appreciated. Results will be posted later on after the start of the regular season, likely around the trade deadline. Thanks! Also, none of these questions are marked as required so if you only feel like answering some, that is completely fine.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeeFwAmfPumF6JOhF2bgiBW\_NulEhb8WOTjPWYB1BnlNgXcvg/viewform?usp=dialog
Also PSA for anyone concerned: This poll does not require an email address to complete and does not ask for anything that could identify whoever is taking it. These are completely anonymous and you could theoretically take it multiple times, though it is asked by me for the polls sake that you only take it once. I am not affiliated with the NBA or with any media outlet revolving around the NBA in any way, I am just an independent strong fan of the game who loves surveys like these. I was able to do this last year and was thrilled to get over 2000 responses, and hope that it can be as successful this year.

Out of 10, rate your level of optimism of Caris LeVert contributing positively to the Pistons this season
How optimistic are Pistons fans of Caris LeVert and his addition to the Pistons this season and the impact he'll make? I wanna know if you all are high on his ability to give the Pistons a nice punch off the bench.
JB has talked about Caris and his ability to playmake, which he hasn't really gotten the credit he deserves for...he's a low turnover player who is a solid initiator and solid creator for himself and others. He's not an elite shooter, been streaky in his career, but is capable, both spotting up and off the dribble. He's a capable defender too.
He doesn't have an elite trait but does pretty much everything at a serviceable-or-better level and he generates a healthy amount of deflections/steals, though he can gamble for them sometimes. He and Ivey are going to be the bench creators which is intriguing....they're both capable on and off the ball and we'll see how they play off of each other.
How optimistic would you all say you are of Caris LeVert as a Piston?

Amazon and FanDuel issues
I’ve posted this on the red wings sub but my dad and I cannot get the pre season games to work on our Amazon apps through FanDuel subscription and it appears they may not broadcast all of the pre season games.
Was really looking forward to watching the game tonight but looking at the Amazon app right now it appears the only stream would be through nba tv which would be blacked out.
Just wondering if everyone else is experiencing the same issue with the Wings and that we won’t have access to the local FanDuel stream tonight on the Amazon app just because it’s pre season.

Is there any free and legal streams for the game tonight?
I'm waiting to renew my FD account when the actual season starts. Does anyone know if there's other avenues that are free and aren't pirate streams for the pre-season?
I figured there probably isn't, but thought it was at least worth asking.

MarJon Beauchamp waived by Portland today. Get him?
Should we give him a try?
The Blazers signed him a week ago and waved him today.
I’ve been intrigued by his game a while.
If he’s in the right situation with the best shooting coach in the league, I think that could work wonders for his career.

Are we one of the deeper teams in the league when fully healthy?
*I know it was one preseason game and the Grizzlies didn't play their stars*
I always kind of thought this team had solid depth last season. They were able to survive most of the season without Ivey, Ausar has had his issues the past two years, and then Stewart got hurt late and we still took the Knicks to six games.
Watching the highlights from the game: A lot of the G-League guys and younger bench guys have come along way since the end of the 2023 season. I think it speaks a lot to the way the franchise is developing guys, especially and mostly our guard rotation. While Sasser obviously is not a perfect player, I think he's a great example of someone who's grown a ton in the franchise since his rookie season. Jenkins is another guard who I think has made considerable strides via the G-League and then in spot minutes during last season. I think he could actually step in and help this team if someone went down.
This isn't even to mention what Lanier brings to the table: He's as pure a shooter as I've seen coming out of the college ranks. While he lacks in many other facets of his game (defense, slightly undersized for a two), he could actually be someone who long term has a place in the league because of his primary trait: He can burn it.
Overall, we're still missing some frontcourt depth. But Paul Reed is serviceable and Tolu Smith seems to be coming along, although he's probably a career journeyman. I have a hard time thinking that this team wouldn't be able to stay afloat with an injury or two especially after all the experience of last season and the free agent additions. If you add all of this with Ivey making a leap and Cade just adding to his star-level play, I have a hard time thinking this team can't hang with almost anyone in the Eastern Conference.
I just think the way that JB gets the guys to play and the way the franchise has had a culture shift the past 18 months that everyone is always ready to play. Pumped for the season!
