Season 10 was the Season of the Apocalypse
When looking at the bases built this season, there is so much world ending catastrophes in them.
Cherry mountain has erupted into a volcano, and around the base of the volcano is Pixel Pulse City which has been overrun by rampant AI that has driven off all of the human survivors after waging a brutal war and resistance against the AI.
Nearby there is a horrific abomination emerging from a rift between dimensions in the bottom of the river, inscribing runes of blood and death upon the land.
Across the way is another fell beast of sorcererous origin tearing across the land while another demon is locked away in an arcane circle, itching to break free and sink its claws into any fresh it can find.
Nearby is a sleepy little village with a giant AI computer that is dumping toxic waste into the land and the people are trying valiantly to clean it up.
A little further beyond is a mega corporation from beyond the stars which has introduced a host of hostile flora and fauna that they are desperately, and futility, attempting to contain. Along with their failing efforts, their machines are poisoning the land and turning the rivers and waterways into toxic wastelands that only their alien flora can withstand.
Even further beyond a Coven of witches have cast a blight upon the land that has consumed all forms of life and twisted them into foul mockeries of life. A barrier has been built to contain it, but the land crawls with disturbing and vile creatures that the corruption has birthed into existence.
Even worse than all of the above, the Hermits themselves have introduced something even more unspeakable, more soul crushing, and more terrifying than anything else before: bureaucracy.
Truly, this season was the stuff of death and nightmares.
