I think it's amazing how forward thinking 90s engineers were when making stuff like this, similar designs would only show up decades later.

Is a $600 continuation fee on top of a $1000 checkride and $200 document review fee normal?
I am currently located in the Bay Area. I am a part 141 student who completed the oral portion of my checkride today but had to cancel the flight portion due to poor weather. At the end of the debrief, the DPE let me know that it would be $600 to have him comeback and complete the flight portion of the checkride. I was shocked when he first told me this since I already paid him $200 for a document review I never heard about as well as $1000 for the checkride. Is this normal or am I getting taking advantage of?
