I can barely drive a car but I can fly planes

I just needed to get this off my chest, but also to see if any one of you guys are like me.

Growing up, my (strict) parents didn’t let me learn how to drive until I was older. I also didn’t need to since the city I’m from, had excellent public transportation system.

And then I moved away for college. Still didn’t need a car since I lived in a bubble/small college town and no one had cars.

And then I got my first job. I graduated with my Bachelor’s at 19, and only NOW did I started learning how to drive. I sat for my license immediately after turning 20.

Moved away again for grad school, bought a car. Drove for 1 year throughout grad school. Sold car at 21 and change.

Now I’m 24 and I have not driven since as I now again, live in a major city with great public transport. I do not trust myself behind the wheel. I might as well not have gotten a license at all.

BUT IM MIGHTY COMFORTABLE WITH A PLANE! This is pretty much my main mode of transport where it makes sense. I also just bought a plane literally to use as a transport vehicle.

I’m itching to “relearn” how to drive and feel ludicrous that I can’t. Anyone else in the same boat?

ORD ground stop tonight, FAA site says due to staffing

Does anyone have any details about it? Without getting into the politics of it is this due to the shutdown? Haven’t seen an ORD delay due to staffing in decades.
