If you have a full time flying job, what do you do, and how much do you make?
There are many niche jobs in aviation that many don’t consider. I’m curious to see what other full time pilots are doing and how lucrative it is

CAA £45 "Secure Courier Charge" then use £8.75 Royal Mail ...
Royally shafted by the UK CAA - charging £45 for a "Secure Courier Charge" to the Channel Islands, then knowingly using Royal Mail for £8.75 to post a tatty jiffy bag containing a single sheet of A4 paper (my reprinted license)...
I wonder if they will refund the £31.25 they pocketed...

‘I support a Canadian team’: This pilot drew a Blue Jays logo with his plane’s flight path
Dimitri Neonakis wanted to show his support for the Toronto Blue Jays, so he drew the team’s logo through his plane’s flight path over rural Nova Scotia.

Aircraft totaled for hail...would you buy back?
My Cessna 150 got totaled for hail damage to the wing and stab. I would classify the damage as "light." Just got word that the high bid was $27,550 and I have 3 days to determine if I want to buy it back. I had it as time builder and don't really plan on keeping it. Do you all think it's worth it to buy back with the intent to sell? Having looked at comparable 150's currently for sale, I would wager it's worth around $45k without the hail damage. I'm not sure how much this hail damage would decrease the value. Here's the auction PDF with some details and pictures:

Last annual was actually last October, not January of 2024 like it says. It's also been flying as of August.
