In your case... Which Servant was promoted (alone or along with others), but didn't end up leaving any impression on the FGO's fandom?
It's quite common for FGO to introduce new Servants for Events or Main Stories. Most of these are promoted so they'll shine once that respective Event or Main Story arrives.
However, when the Main Event or Story arrives, one of these Servants (or the Servant who is the face of the Event/Story) fails to leave an impression on the FGO fandom.
This could be due to a few factors.
- The Servant falls short compared to other Servants or NPCs in the same Event/Story.
- The Servant doesn't shine in the Event/Story where it should shine or stand out.
- The Servant's gameplay is uninnovative or unimpressive.
And before you mention it, Lalter doesn't count here since she's a case of a Servant forgotten by the Developers but the Fandom still remembers her despite her mediocre Debut.
Here we talk about Servants who debuted alone or with other Servants, but did not leave a lasting impression on the FGO fandom to the point that they can be considered forgotten (basically: a failed Debut)
