Good laptop?

I want a windows laptop that also can run macOS without any issues and works w most festures, mainly js wifi and bluetooth if possible and maybe the webcam, been hearing abt thinkpad t480's but do all, or most, features of macOS work on them? Or is there better alternatives?

Ryzentosh black screen when using nootedred

I installed macOS Ventura but no graphics acceleration so I booted back into windows and deleted whatever green from kext folder and moved nootedred kext into the kexts folder updated config file using proper tree when I try to boot up my ryzentosh I get black screen after verbose when I put whatervergreen back and update the config it boots normally but no accelerated graphics what should I do

Just got this new laptop, is it a good idea to hackintosch it?

Hey yall, i got this new laptop from my grandpa for free, and im wondering if i should hackintosch it. My Network/Bluetooth cards are unfortunatly unsupported. Should i still proceed? And can i use USB-Tethering to get a network?

Recently I made a hackintosh on hp 15da1083nt and I am using intel uhd graphics 620 but when I try to use hdmi it didnt work because hdmi port is directly connected to mx130.I looked at the last supported version and it showed as high sierra.I am on seqoia now and I dont want to dongrade to a 7-8 yers old version of macos I can downgrade a few versions.Is there any patch I can use?

Help with Skylake Sequoia - HD530

Hiya. I got Sequoia running on my i3-6100T with an HD530, but it's vram is only 7MB. I tried spoofing it to a UHD 620, HD630, UHD630, and multiple platform IDs, but nothing seems to fit it well. Big Sur runs fine on another drive, but I need a near latest OS, which is Sequoia for my use case. Tahoe loads to a white screen, no passing that, so that is not an option. I will drop images of my last config (I am still changing and working on it for the past 2 weeks, and I still make changes every hour.) Any help is appreciated.

ACPI - Used it from Big Sur

After searching through Reddit and Dortania's Guide

Kexts in Kernel, added the AppleIntelSKLGraphics and Framebuffer from Big Sur \/System\/Library\/Extensions\/ upon advice from github, but had no effect.

Boot Args from my research, could be very very very inaccurate.

My CURRENT \(stressing on current as I am changing it a lot to test what works\) SMBIOS, ran iMac18,1 and iMac18,2 to no avail.

Might be needed for helping me, here is the UEFI drivers.

Please help me out here, I just got past the PreFlight error 21 in Sequoia after a lot of trial and error spanning 2 days, and I am a bit rusty as it is my 3rd hackintosh and it has been over 2 years since my big sur one. (Big Sur still runs on this system using another SSD)

HP ZBook G7 trackpad (ELAN073D) - need help

Hi everyone! I'm writing here as a last resort. I've tried everything I could find as information, but I couldn't get the trackpad to work. My only question is whether anyone has managed to get this working, and if so, how did they do it? I'll figure out the rest once I get some pointers :D

I tried the "official" Dortania guide, YouTube videos, the posts here, but nothing worked. I even went as far as downloading a pre-made EFI just to see how others managed to solve it, but it wouldn't work with that either.

Kernel Panic on HP 250 G6

Hi, I'm using an HP 250 G6 (with a i3-6006U); during the first boot the system freezes, it gives out the following error:

Has anyone successfully installed macOS 26 on the ThinkPad T480s?

I can't for the life of me boot the installer. I've tried making an EFI myself, I've tried OpenCore Simplify, everything. I have successfully made EFIs for Ventura-Sequoia so that's what's really making me wonder why. If you have, please DM me.

Error:255, "Installation cannot proceed because the installer is damaged."

Hello. I'm trying to install macOS 15.5 Sequoia on my desktop PC and when I try to install it to the disk, I am greeted with the error 255 "Installation cannot proceed because the installer is damaged" I am writing this right after I redownloaded the necessary offline installer files again using gibmacOS. I am using UnPlugged to make the offline installer work. I checked if all the files were in the correct destinations but I still get this error. Here's what I've tried:
1. Redownloading everything (Sequoia recovery environment from macrecovery.py and the full macOS from gibmacOS)
2. Formatting the USB drive again and placing correct partitions.
3. Placing the files in the right destinations.

But still, nothing works. Please note that *I have installed macOS 15.5 before using the exact same files and got the same error, and somehow I managed to fix it, but now I have no idea how I've fixed it then and now it doesn't work.*

APFS errors & System Settings crash

Hey all,

Running macOS Sequoia on an AMD Hackintosh (HP 245 G8). My board has no AHCI mode, so I’m using AMDSata.kext.

Install went fine, but after setup I got a message like “problem with a disk, still accessible with restrictions”.
Now macOS boots, apps work, but System Settings instantly crashes with:

EXCBADACCESS (SIGBUS)
APFS: compressed data hash mismatch

Tried:

`diskutil verify/repair` → no errors
Added SATA-unsupported.kext → no change, broke screen brightness
Injected `built-in` in DeviceProperties → no effect
Tweaked OpenCore quirks (DisableIoMapper, SetupVirtualMap, etc.)

Anyone got a fix or workaround to stabilize storage / avoid these errors ?
