unbelievably dumb request: recovering NYT app on 15.4

I have an annoying issue. Running jailbroken/Dopamine iOS 15.4 on an A12 device, obviously stuck at 15.4 until a miracle happens for future jailbreaks.

My New York Times app unfortunately updated in the background and now is incompatible with pre-iOS 16. NYT customer support claims "security issues" mean the update is all they will provide, and AppStore won't allow "Download Previous Version".

I am seeking a way to locate this free/non-pirated app so that I can (presumably) sideload it to my device and get working again. I don't want to lose my jailbreak just for one damn newspaper app.

I've tried searching for an older .ipa and come up short. Can anyone offer suggestions?

Is there any point to CarBridge if you can’t play non-DRM video?

I want to play YouTube, Disney, Netflix. I found out too late by about the DRM black screen.

- YouTube works but so does CarTube which doesn’t require CarBridge
- Plex Plus costs a monthly subscription I don’t want to pay
- Are there any other ways to play video that has DRM? I’m assuming if I download and private upload to YT it will figure that out and pull it down.

For those that miss the AutoRotate tweak..

it may not have been called auto rotate, but it was a similar name and it hasn’t been updated for a while, it would essentially toggle orientation lock in certain apps that you choose.

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner, but you can make a shortcut automation to toggle orientation mode when you open an app - I have it set to YouTube, so whenever you open YouTube, you can rotate for landscape videos and then when you close the app orientation lock turns back on!
