anyone help ipod touch 1st gen wont restore

when i try to restore my ipod touch 1st gen it greets me wth error (5)

I did try to jailbreak this ipod but it still turns on and has the recovery logo so idk if the nand is bricked or somthing can anyone help?

The Features i still cN do on my 14 pro is STILL far better than ios 26. Yes i will probably still keep my iOS version lower for jailbreak and keep using 16 pro when absolutely necessary.

iOS 18.3.2 TrollStore Installation PoC

i haven't seen this talked about much here, maybe i missed a whole fad and i'm just ringing a bell that's already been rung many times already. with that said, this really seems like something that should be talked about more. it would appear that trollstore is able to be installed on ios version 18.3.2. not only that, at the end of this document, there's a roadmap for a "highly theoretical" but actively being researched full kernal exploit for devices with A14+ chips on 18.3.2 following a similar exploit chain, however into the neural engine. id have to try and find more about that.


this shows the map to an active method of installing trollstore on ios 18.3.2, and speculates about a full kernel exploit, maybe even a new path to a full jailbreak??


again, sincerest apologies if i am off base here, i recently found interest in jailbreak as i've been bouncing around different topics in cybersecurity. i won't directly provide any links at the moment, as im unfamiliar with how much info sharing is permitted without violating any restrictions within the community. it likely shouldn't be too difficult to locate with the information provided.

Appstore++ broken?

Anyone else using appstore++ with dopamine? Suddenly on my phone it is no longer listing any version as available but the latest version of any app, so ability to downgrade is lost. Is there an alternate tweak or another method for installing older versions?

Since the IOS 18, I have actually felt my 13 Pro getting slower. Now I stupidly updated to IOS 26 and it is getting even worse. Is it actually not possible to downgrade to like IOS 17 or IOS 16? Or what would it require?
