The mystery of nelliyampathy hills - palakkad.
The Mystery of Nelliyampathy Hills
I’ve often heard people say that Nelliyampathy Hills has something mysterious about it some even believe there are strange energies or unseen spirits in those forests. Many travellers talk about unexpected troubles on the way such as vehicles breaking down, sudden fog, or eerie silence in the middle of nowhere.
I’ve been there around 7–8 times myself, and a few of those trips were quite unsettling. My car broke down twice for no clear reason, and once, around evening, we saw an ottakomban standing right in the middle of the road and we had to turn back that day.
Later, I came to know that many others have had similar experiences. Maybe it’s just coincidence… or maybe there’s really something mysterious about Nelliyampathy.
Has anyone else heard such stories or faced anything strange there? Would love to hear your experiences.

Genuine question. Is Suresh Gopi casteist/classist or just an obsessive germaphobe?
All these videos going around of Suresh Gopi washing/cleaning his hands immediately after the slightest contact with people perceivably from lower class/caste.
A shake of a hand and his assistant immediately comes with water or sanitizer and cleans his hands right then and there in front of the public and cameras.
Someone gave him a pappadam during a sadhya and he broke off the part that was touched by the person and set it aside.
Him not allowing anyone to even touch him and shirking off like it's peak COVID times.
Begs the question. The easy answer is that he has that madamby upper caste mindset. Certainly his language like "praja" etc and his statements of wanting to be born as a Brahmin in the next life all makes it very easy to conclude that this is motivated by casteism and untouchability.
But I am wondering if the guy is just a germaphobe. And an obsessive one at that.
Because if he were indeed just casteist, he would at least wait to get away from the public eye to clean himself. But perhaps he's so obsessed with cleanliness that he can't go a moment without being "clean."
Just an honest question. Not trying to whitewash his actions.
I don't even like the guy or his politics.

Too late for marriage ?
Hey everyone,
I’m 26F and will turn 27 in two months. I’ve completed my MBBS and am currently preparing for NEET PG. This is my second drop year .I was working the previous year but couldn’t score well the first time, mostly due to a series of health issues. After that, I took some time to rest, heal, and enjoy living again. Now I’ve finally started taking my preparation seriously and I’m mentally in a much better place. Here’s the issue: my parents have started looking for matches for me. They’ve registered my profile on a few matrimonial sites, and I’ve even talked to a few guys. But honestly, it’s been distracting me from my studies. I’m not in the mental space right now to make such a big decision. Forget choosing a life partner even picking an ice cream flavor feels like too much pressure right now 😅 I genuinely believe in marriage, but I want to get married happily. It doesnt help that the guys I’ve talked to have had complicated pasts as well and im not in a space to understand what i genuinely want to take interest in the conversation. I dont have any previous dating history either since my family is quite conservative and i knew i was gonna end up with an arranged marriage anyway🥹. I told my parents that I’d prefer to focus on my exam first (which will probably be around June or July next year not sure cause nbems finds joy in postponing in the prev night of the exam)and then think about marriage seriously. But they keep saying it’s already late for me that I’m 26 turning 27, and that I might “lose options” if I wait. To make it worse, my cousin married a girl of 23, and of course, the comparisons have started 🙃 and my extended family is looking at me like im a spinster or something😭
My logic, though, is pretty simple ,I’ll be 27 in two months anyway, and I’ll still be 27 by the time my exam is over. It’s not like I’m asking for a whole extra year or planning to delay things endlessly. I just want to go into marriage with a peaceful mind, not while juggling exam stress and life decisions at once.
I’m not asking from a “it’s 2025 so age doesn’t matter” perspective .I mean it more in a realistic sense. Normally, what age do women actually get married these days? Anyway thank you for coming to my ted talk😭
