Govt Employee - PWD Assistant Engineer has not received salary for 4 months

Hello r/kerala,

My mother is a PWD AE who is going through a difficult time because of Software Accounting issues.

Apparently everything is now digitised and they are not able to process her salary due to some unknown reasons. I suspect incompetent data entry by the accounts department.

Whenever she calls the Accounts team at TVM they donot pickup or informs her that the server is down.

As a software engineer myself, I find it difficult to believe or even accept that such a circumstance can come up due to software/server issues, I’m planning to make a trip down to TVM next week to understand whats happening as they seem very apathetic and rude.

I have been supporting her financially during this time but it seems so wrong for the government to treat someone like this.

She travels 100km per day on a train to go to office and back home and has a ton of workload as well. Can anyone here guide me to understand what steps I can take to get this resolved ? Do I need to proceed legally?
