Hi fellow Redditors, I want to share a situation and get some honest advice. This is purely about me (28F) and my boyfriend (34M).


When I was 25, I met my boyfriend. I always wanted to settle in Kerala, India. I did my master’s there, worked in a college, and was generally content. But he was from a premium institute, had a great IT job, and always talked about moving abroad. Because we got serious, I eventually accepted that if he moved abroad, I would move abroad with him.

But then, during a conversation, he told me he would never take me abroad and that if I wanted to go, I shouldn’t use him as a chance and should do it on my own. So I did exactly that. I moved abroad on my own. It’s been almost 2 years now.

He is still in India. I’ve been asking him to come. After my studies, I started working at a bank here, and he said he would come. But every time it came to the actual cost (around 40 to 50 lakhs), he would get confused, hesitate, or delay. I kept trying to be supportive, but it’s been emotionally exhausting.

Now we’re at a point where he can only come through either

1. marrying me, or


2. a study permit.



Marriage isn’t an option right now, but I do want to get married within a year. I’m not going to carry him here financially. I’ve already struggled my way up alone.

So I told him to apply for a course abroad. It’s been one and a half months, and he has made zero progress.

I am really torn. Should I keep waiting? Or is it time to break up and move on?

Is there a way to petition MVD and Government to start using AI camera to fine those drivers who use high beam

I am genuinely scared for my life when I step out at night, the new vehicles come with LED and the moron drivers especially auto and scooter riders have no clue that they are on high beam mode, it is a big problem when they are right behind you and you are constantly blinded by the read view and side view mirror s. I am planning to get that blinding overhead led array beam and going to blind these aholes. One aimed at front and one at back, will serve them right. Time for Government and Police to step up and start fining these morons.

For me , never, I had strong reasons to leave my nasicha kudumbakar and aaylokakar who sucked the life out of me. Its been 8 years. even wen lots of bad moments hit aboard Never regreted or doubted my initial decision to leave. (No offence to Kerala its a beauty just personal circumstances)
