I'm gonna go insane
The majority of places on Reddit (and other social media tbh) feels like a complete liberal circlejerk whenever Trump is brought up. They just make jokes about him being fat or stupid or whathaveyou (ignoring all the actually harmful things he's doing), continue to blame non-and-third-party voters for the current situation (and wish harm and misfortune on those who voted for Trump), and act like getting rid of Trump is the be-all-end-all solution to their problems (so they can go right back to ignoring all the shit the US pulls regardless of who's in the White House). Meanwhile, the only thing they can seem to muster to "fight back" against fascism is most-snarky-sign-message contest bloc parties, and then they proceed to accuse anyone who tells them that's not enough of being a Russian/Chinese/North Korean bot or conducting "purity tests" (god I hate that phrase SO MUCH).
maybe I just need to get off Reddit for a while and take a walk or something

They call this a strong labor market. Looks more like rot from where I stand.
The labor market isn’t strong, it’s hollowed out.
We keep hearing the phrase ‘strong labor market. But look closer:
• Wages are flat.
• Layoffs are creeping up.
• Hiring is drying out.
Axios even called it a ‘bed-rotting labor market.’ Moody’s says we’re sliding into no real job growth at all.
Low unemployment doesn’t mean good jobs, it just means people are still clocking in, even if the pay can’t cover rent or groceries.
That’s not strength. That’s structural rot.
Curious what you’re seeing where you live: real jobs, or just survival work?
