Has anyone watched Adolescence on Netflix? It gives some insight into the recent stabbing incident and the toxic masculinity culture that kids are exposed to nowadays.

If you haven't seen it yet, please do give it a watch. It's only 4 episodes long, and it focuses on a fictional murder by stabbing in the UK, with both victim and perpetrator being teens. Some cultural things might not carry across necessarily, but the overall message of social media influencing our youth in toxic ways is the same. Parents are also responsible in giving their kids a proper upbringing and being good role models.

Recently there have been more discussions about safety issues in Malaysian school, bullying harassment, even murder and more

And I wanna share my experience;

(F) when I was form 2, I was groomed and sexually abused by someone from my school, one of them is not in our school but still connected because it’s one of my rapist’s friend but actually.. all of them knew eachother (I was raped multiples time by different people, different time, different place, different clothing and yes most of the time is in school uniform) it didn’t happen inside the school but it started there. Even school bus drivers aren’t safe, I was harassed by one.

Back then, I didn’t realise it was wrong I thought it was love. (I was groomed) I was too young to understand. When I finally realised what happened, it affected my mental health deeply

People from my school finds out, because my rapist film me when he was… and he show them to his friends and pictures… I tired to stand up for myself but no one believed me. Everyone was against me, all of them blamed me for it but no one call out my rapist, they said “i deserve it” “didn’t fight back “I asked for it”
I ended up getting bullied at school when I was still being sexual abuse, I struggle a lot at school and even get harassment and others. they would joke about me getting pregnant, calling me names, everyone stare at me like I’m some monster, I was treated horribly, I lost all my friends and everything. I don’t want to get into too much detail because it was a very bad memories.. I was really afraid of school. I remember me ponteng almost everyday just to avoid my bully. I was always alone at school at home everywhere I have no one, even in online I got cyber bullying by people from my school.

I'm writing this because I keep seeing people talk about how unsafe Malaysian schools are becoming and those recently cases. but there are still so many hidden stories like mine. Things that happen quietly, because we're too scared.
I feel alone and no one believe me. I need someone to talk to, I never got any help. Malaysia needs to do better to protect students:

Please don't tell me to tell the police or my family or anything like that. I have my reasons. It's not that simple, and I just want to be heard not judged… Thank you for reading
