A butcher at my local grocery store didn’t know what tallow is and got mad at me

I went to buy tallow from the local grocery store and asked the butcher if they sold beef tallow. He got really irritated and said “I don’t even know what kind of beef that is, what are you asking for?”

So I explained it’s the white semi solid fat, and he was like, you mean LARD?? It’s over there and walks me to the baking aisle and hands me a package of lard.

It was weird, and I took the lard and walked away.
