Episode 2 quality
This one had better animation for sure, but everything still looks way too stiff and the pacing feels sooo off.
The final scene between Garou and Ripper looked kinda slow and also out of place in terms of composition.
Everything so far feels soo rushed, that I can't help but think that this is all the director's fault tbh. Season 2 was way better minus the image quality

Honestly, it was a big improvement on the first episode.
There was far more moments of movement beyond just lip flaps which helped the characters looks more alive, a lot more work put into not only the characters art but also the background (that shit actually looked really good, especially the scene where Garou was reflecting after dine and dashing), it felt better directed (no where near as many abrupt cuts between scenes or weightless music thrown haphazardly over every character dialogue), and the final scene where Garou encounters the monsters was actually pretty nice (I especially liked how extra they went with him using water stream rock smashing fist).
It’s still not 10/10 or season 1 quality - there are still too many still frames (first couple of minutes being an example) and you can tell corners were cut in certain scenes (e.g when Garou threatened the guy with his own knife, or when he was eating and the food just seemed to blink out of existence the moment it got near his mouth), and it felt like they made certain scenes/shots last longer to pad the run time.
But, overall, I would say this is a definite improvement compared to the first episode and I’m actually feeling pretty optimistic now.
Ik people will be hating on this like it’s the worst thing since seven deadly frames, and fair enough to them (it’s not like they have no leg to stand on), but I really enjoyed it myself and actually feel like I’m getting something for all that time I waited.
My standards may have sunk a bit, which could explain my reaction, but regardless I’m satisfied (apart from that cliffhanger, we didn’t need to do that 😭)
Anywho, just sharing my thoughts and trying to add a smidge of positivity to the inevitable hate.
