I will use this for international travel, so weight and WWAN were at the top of the requirements list.
The build quality is really solid and the OLED is very bright and sharp. Compared to my h7604 Studiobook the OLED is a bit warmer but very nice. I am still testing out the VRR feature so I don't have much feedback on that, but it seemed like one of those features that are gimmicky enough to splurge on.
I must give Lenovo an A+++ for the keyboard layout. It has proper Home/End/Insert/Delete/Pg Up/Pg Dn keys and the arrow keys in the CORRECT inverted-T layout. I don't understand why some other brands are combining these keys or giving them strange shapes, it makes their laptops almost unusable! /rant
I didn't even bother to boot the Lenovo SSD, I opened it and swapped the SSD with the Samsung 990 Pro and did a clean install of Windows 11. The cover is easy to remove and the captive screws are a very welcome touch.
The charger is small enough and feels light, but I ordered a GaN charger to make it even lighter for travel. (40AWGC65WW)
I have been testing it on battery and AC power and put my ear close to the keyboard and backside, but I don't hear any coil whine. My Studiobook does have some light coil whine so I am familiar with this issue. I finally got lucky (fingers crossed).
I downloaded the ChargeThreshold utility and set the battery to 80% so I don't have to use Vantage (commercial or otherwise).
The F10 key confused my at first with Print Screen F9, newbie error. It's supposed to be under 1kg but with the 5G modem it's actually slightly over 1kg!
Overall I am very satisfied with the build quality and features. I will be traveling soon so that will be the true test!

Should I buy a thinkpad as my main laptop?
I am thinking of buying a new laptop. And I am thinking of buying a thinkpad (I am thinking t480 because of upgradeability) but I am still not sure whether to buy one or not.
Is t480 good for multitasking?
Should I buy one for daily usage?
I am going to mainly use it for web dev and media consumption. I am a heavy user. If I should buy one at all?
If not t480 then which one should I buy?
Edited: PS: I use fedora KDE. And I plan to use it in my thinkpad if I buy one.
