Why would raccoons crap on my roof?
A group lives under the neighbors porch. I do not feed them. During estimates for roof shingle replacement, the builder found a pile of raccoon shit trapped near a rain gutter. Why they think the roof is a handier latrine than actual ground boggles the mind.

Raccoon family in abandoned building
Hi, I recently discovered a raccoon in an abandoned building near me. I usually see it on the second floor sitting outside early mornings and late nights. Yesterday, while walking past, I got closer than usual and noticed that it had a few babies(smaller raccoons) with it.
So, here’s my question; I was wondering if it’s ok to take some food over and leave it outside the building? Also, how close can/should I get to do it and should I expect to a cold greeting when/if I do? Lastly, what would be a choice thing to feed them?
