I've done plenty of videography, editing, audio production, and so on, but haven't done much photography. Over the next thirty days, I'm going to try this 30-day challenge to expand my skills: https://goodhartphotographyva.com/30-day-photography-challenge/

To make things more interesting, I'll only be using one lens (f/1.8 50mm), and I'll be trying to do two photos for each challenge.

I know Telegram isn't a very interactive medium, and I can't see if anyone else is doing this, but I'd encourage anyone else interested in photography to give it a shot too. Always cool to learn some new skills, and repetition is the key to learning and improvement.

Quite the difference from yesterday's foray into 25 degree weather, these were shot from the (relative) comfort of my (partially broken) office chair in my (still a partial construction zone) office. I really love the precision of the large aperture lens and how dramatic the focal change is- even on objects only 0.25" apart.

Did you know oil paint can take three months to dry? I didn't, but learned from experience! I've been experimenting with oil paints, and read somewhere you should first focus on a) blending colors and b) try painting with only the knife, so that's what you see here.
