Cadair Idris is a mountain in Gwynedd, Wales, known for its striking peaks, mythological links to a giant named Idris, and challenging but rewarding hiking trails. Its name translates to "Chair of Idris," and its highest point, Penygadair, stands at 893 meters (2,927 feet). The mountain is located at the southern end of Snowdonia National Park and is popular with hikers, with trails that can be strenuous but offer superb panoramic views on clear days
