Aliens.hub not refunding our token amount worth Rs.1.5lakh (Kadthal, Hyderabad)
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share our recent experience, which may help others stay informed before investing in Hyderabad real estate — specifically with Alien.hub.
It all started on 26th August 2025, my friend called me to explore real estate investment opportunities near Kadthal. When I went to his place, an agent from Alien.hub was already there (came in an Ertiga). We are three friends (software engineers working at MNCs), and we decided to visit their site together.
The Project
Location: Kadthal, around 3 km from Srisailam Highway, roughly 40 km south of RGI Airport.
Alien.hub team showcased plots in that area.
They mentioned nearby developments like:
The proposed Future City (about 15 km away)
The Regional Ring Road (RRR) being planned near it
Claims of a “premium community” with golf course, clubhouse, café/restaurants, etc.
We weren’t fully convinced by the luxury promises but were interested in the location potential due to RRR and Future City proximity.
They initially quoted ₹18,000 per sq yard, which we negotiated down to ₹12,970 per sq yard.
We (3 friends) booked 3 plots, around 665 sq yards in total.
Each of us paid ₹50,000 as a token booking amount.
My quote: \~220 sq yards for ₹33.72 lakhs, which I had to pay in a month, with their assurance that registration would be completed within a week of full payment.
After Some Research
After returning home, we conducted a detailed analysis and spoke with colleagues and other agents.
We realized:
Investing this amount in mutual funds over 10 years could potentially give better returns.
Alien.hub’s reputation (especially around their Tellapur “Space Station” project) wasn’t very good.
So, we decided to cancel our bookings.
When we informed them about the cancellation, they tried to convince us not to cancel and said we’d be losing a big opportunity.
We insisted, and finally they agreed to cancel — but now they are not refunding our token money.
Their own terms and conditions clearly state that the token amount is refundable.
It’s now been over 1.5 months, and every time we call:
Either they don’t answer, or
They say it’s been “escalated” and “under process,” with no clear timeline.
My Concern
Yes, I know the legal route (consumer court, lawyer notice, etc.) is an option — but before that, I wanted to share this experience here so that others can be aware and maybe help with advice or insights.
Guys, Hyderabad is a place where people should feel positive and trustworthy for investors, but practices like these spoil the confidence of genuine buyers.
What Can We Do as a social media community?
How do we make such companies accountable?
What can we do collectively to make them learn a lesson and ensure they don’t repeat this with others?
Please upvote so this post reaches more people — I’ll also share this thread with their representatives to show them how the people is reacting to such behavior.
Also, Would love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, or if anyone has faced something similar with this developer or other developers around Hyderabad.

The harsh truth about being middle class in India
A software engineer earning ₹50,000 a month works day and night trying to build a decent life.
He buys a small plot, pays GST on every brick and tile, hires labour, and takes a home loan that runs for 20 or 30 years.
Half his life goes into EMIs and interest.
He pays taxes honestly.
He follows every rule.
He sacrifices comfort just to stay stable.
And still, he gets nothing for free.
If he misses even one EMI, his family’s entire security is at risk. One bad month and they could lose everything.
At the same time, the government proudly gives away free flats and free ration to crores of people.
Eighty crore citizens out of 140 crore still depend on government ration.
If more than half the country still needs free food to survive, what kind of development are we really talking about?
And why give free flats?
A house should be something people earn through hard work, not a gift handed out for votes.
Instead of giving away permanent assets built from taxpayers’ money, the government should focus on creating real opportunities like jobs, skill development, and small business support so that people can earn their homes with dignity.
These endless freebies don’t help anyone in the long run. They create dependency and kill motivation.
Meanwhile, the middle class quietly carries the weight of the entire system.
I know I might get some hate for being this bold, but this is how a lot of us actually feel.
We are not asking for free stuff.
We are asking for fairness.
A country grows when effort is rewarded, not when dependency is encouraged.

Got scammed right after landing in Hyderabad. Still can’t get over it
I landed in Hyderabad today and booked an Ola cab. The app told me to go to the Ola parking lot, pick a mini car, tell them the OTP, and get my ride.
I went to the parking lot and a driver approached me. I thought he was from Ola. He then sent me to another guy, who got us a cab. Till this point, I genuinely thought this was Ola. Only after getting into this car did I realize it wasn’t Ola and it was a shared cab. I didn’t mind that though. The person who approached me first said it would be 1000 rupees, and I agreed. This driver was not happy with the agreed amount and he was arguing with the other person who took me to this cab. I told this driver my hotel name. It’s a popular one, so I’m sure he knew it.
Halfway through, he asked me to put the location in Google maps and him my phone. I did that. In the middle of the ride, he suddenly stopped near another hotel and claimed that’s the location I had put. He even closed the map abruptly. That’s when I realised he was trying to scam me.
When I told him it wasn’t right location, instead of talking politely he got aggressive, started shouting, calling me uneducated and curse words in hindi. Then, ironically he went straight to my actual hotel without even looking at the map. If he already knew the place, why ask for directions in the first place? I was furious but held my ground. I decided not to give him single rupee extra because of how rude he was. When we reached, he demanded 300 more. I would have given this if he has not cursed earlier but at that moment I refused. The argument got heated, and the hotel staffs stepped in. They suggested i give him 200 just to end it, since he looked like a typical scammer who wouldn’t back off otherwise.
Looking back,
1. It was my fault to assume he was an ola driver without checking properly
2. I should have showed the map history to prove I entered the right location (my brain didn’t work)
3. I feel bad for wasting the time of the fellow passenger as all this happened at midnight.
Still, this incident is haunting me. It was my first day in Hyderabad, and it’s really shaken me. I will be moving here soon and now I’m honestly scared, will I have to deal with scammers like this? Or is Hyderabad generally safe and nice, with just a few bad apples?
