Are these people really rich ?

Guys, I have a story today.
So my ex colleague who is a girl got a match of boy who was my Schoolmate. She saw tha Im his mutual friend so, she called me.

She asked me about the guy. I told him he was pretty decent atleast from what I know but I asked her to check with others because my schooling was 15yrs back and he was my busmate and we just know each other , That's it.

But... something that baffeled me was this guy told that itseems....they have networth of nearly 12cr and they are asking some huge dowry because of that.

I didn't say anything and we closed the call, I was shocked because when we were in school..they were not really well off and they did have debts. They didn't even have an own house . I was curious and did some bg check and I found out this.

So apparently they had few lands in exterior of city and they gave those lands to builder who was building this gated community apartments. Once this apartments are constructed completely they will get those flats which are actually worth in crores.

In reality, the builder has to finish it and mostly they give flats which are in ground floor or not in proper vastu which may not give equivalent value and are difficult to sell. Already the Hyderabad real estate is kinda saturated and we have no idea what will happen in future.

So this guy is actually rich in terms of paper but the reality is whole a different story. Can we actually call these people rich???

Lost my bag (with laptop) in Hyderabad, called 112, panicked like hell… and then something unbelievable happened 😭💀

So this happened today.
I had a flight at 2 PM, and around 11:30 AM I took an auto from Kukatpally. All good so far.
But here’s where chaos entered my life.

The auto guy suddenly stops right in front of Lulu Mall, Kukatpally, and tells me, “bhaiya mujhe yahan kuch kaam hai, aapko yahin utar deta hoon.”
I was like, okay fine, I’ll pay him and figure it out.

So I get out, open my wallet to pay him... and before I could even blink, the man just speeds away.
And guess what?
My bag with my laptop, clothes, and flight stuff was still in the auto.

I froze for 2 seconds, then sprinted after the auto,
But obviously, the Hyderabad traffic decided to betray me.
The guy disappeared.

Bro, my hands started shaking. I was literally about to cry.
I called 112 immediately and told them it was a theft complaint. They said, “Don’t worry, the police station will call you soon.”
So I waited. 10 minutes. 15 minutes. No call.
I called them again. Same robotic response. “The police will call you.” 😭
Bro I was standing in front of Lulu Mall, one of the busiest areas in the city, with my flight in 2 hours, heart racing, praying to every god I know.

And then…
out of absolutely nowhere…
THE SAME AUTO WALA COMES BACK.
He stops at the exact same place, looks at me, smiles, and just hands me my bag.
Didn’t say much. Didn’t ask for money. Just said,

“Aapka bag reh gaya tha.”
…and drove away.

I stood there like, what just happened?!
I swear I could’ve hugged him. My faith in humanity was restored right there.

Fast forward to one hour later, I’m finally near the airport, and my phone rings.
It’s the police.

“Haan bolo, kya hua complaint ka?”
I said, “Sir, cancel it, the auto driver came back.”
He just went, “Accha, theek hai.”
And hung up.

Tf broo💀💀💀

One full hour later, after I’d already almost missed my flight, that’s when they decide to call me back.
I was literally in the busiest part of Hyderabad, panicking over a possible theft, and not one cop showed up or even called promptly

Man, I’m grateful for that honest auto driver, but damn, this emergency response system is pathetic.
If that guy hadn’t returned, I would’ve lost my bag, my laptop, and possibly my flight… all while waiting for a call that came an hour too late.
Hyderabad police didn’t solve my problem.
A random auto driver did, while the entire system was still buffering lol💀💀

TL;DR:
Lost my bag with laptop in an auto near Lulu Mall, Kukatpally. Filed a complaint via 112, no police response for an hour. The auto driver himself came back and returned the bag. Police called me only when I was about to reach the airport.

Faith in the system:

Everyone keeps saying real estate will fall in Hyderabad

People keep saying real estate in Hyderabad will fall. I honestly don’t understand what they mean by “will.” From what I see around me, it’s already happening. The signs are everywhere:

1. Stalled mega projects
Vasavi Ananda Nilayam near LB Nagar — an 11-tower project with 4,000+ units — has been stalled for over 6 months. When I spoke to the on-site staff, they said construction is going on, but it won’t be completed anytime in the near future because occupancy is too low to justify continuing.

2. Empty new apartments
In my area, every lane has at least one or two newly constructed apartments. They’ve been vacant for 1.5 years, some even 3 years with ‘For Sale’ boards. Prices are absurd — ₹1 crore+ (even ₹1.25 crore for small ones). Since investors are involved, builders can’t reduce the price — they have to try selling at these exorbitant rates or file for bankruptcy.

3. Bankruptcy and auctions
One project filed for bankruptcy. Flats were auctioned and bought in the ₹60–70 lakh range, buyers moved in, but SBI didn’t register the flats, leaving their ownership in limbo.

4. Weekly venture collapses
Almost every week, a real estate venture collapses in LB Nagar or Saroornagar, and these incidents are regularly shown in the news.

5. Agents & confrontations
Many agents in our area, who were once driving high-end cars and living lavishly, are now facing buyers coming to their houses to fight, demanding their money back.
For one agent, buyers came to his house, put up a shamiana, used his bathroom and water, and even beat his wife and kids.

6. Moving back to villages
Four of my friends have moved back to their villages with their families and parents, and are trying to sell their independent houses in Hyderabad. I’m waiting for my parents to retire to move back to my village as well.

7. Rental stagnation
‘To-Let’ boards are hanging on every other house from so long.

8. Commercial spaces
Malls and commercial spaces in LB Nagar and Saroornagar are largely empty.
Some are stuck mid-construction because no one is renting commercial space.

So when people say “real estate will fall,” I genuinely don’t get what more they expect. Construction is halting, apartments are vacant, ventures are collapsing, agents are being confronted, people are moving out, rentals are stagnating, and commercial spaces are deserted. What more is left to “fall”? Are we waiting for the buildings themselves to collapse?

Honestly, I’m happy this phase has come. There was a time when everyone — friends, relatives, even my barber, milkman, and garbage man — were trying to sell me real estate.

Let real estate fall. Ministers and MLAs should have their black money stuck and cry. Every other idiot jumped into real estate thinking “₹10,000 in, ₹1 lakh out.” Are the people who studied, worked hard, all idiots then?
