I’ve learned 3 lessons this year. To leave people where they at, accept situations for what they are, and not every action needs a reaction
Your whole life can be altered by associating with someone. So yes indeed, be selective
turns out if you let yourself cry/grieve/go a bit insane w the gravity of your emotions without trying to make them into something rational and logical or lock them away in fear of how you’ll ruin your life if you feel them you actually do start to feel better faster. who knew
never underestimate my ability to stare out a window and not speak for hours on a car ride
be careful going for walks this October. the air might smell like recess in second grade and you might get sick to your stomach with melancholia
do you ever care about something really really hard for three seconds and then stop caring completely. like ok im fine now actually. dont know what came over me
The best part about being authentic is there is no image to maintain. You will delight some and disturb others, and none of it will concern the truth of your being
the more you increase your emotional intelligence, the less you'll take things personally because you'll realize that most people aren't reacting to you, they're reacting to their own past, their own fears, their own struggles, their own bad days
i was put on this earth to notice the trees, the plants, & the quiet miracles of wildlife
"What is he like?"
He's like all the love I've ever poured out into the world finally found its way back to me, wrapped itself in human form, and held me close.
