Okay I do have a thing to say
Biggest letdown is the screen, coming from my moto g31
Because that had a 1080x2400 OLED, and the hmd fusion has a 720x1612 IPS LCD
The resolution isn't that big a deal but I certainly notice
The bigger issue in my eyes is that it just looks really washed out compared to the OLED
Like I knew this going in, just.. idk, I didn't think it'd be that prominent?
Other than that uhhh, it's an phone
A bit thicker and boxier than I'm used to
I do really like the design with the exposed screws on the back, both for pure aesthetics but also seems better for repairability
I fucking hate glue and clips and using spudgers and heat and whatever
I haven't actually looked into any specific repairs but I assume there'll be less of that involved
Uhhh the power button fingerprint reader will unlock on touch, not on pressing the button in, which is.. fine? I guess? I'd prefer it was a more intentional action but whatever, maybe there's something in settings
Not super impressed on the bloatware front but maybe I've just forgotten how bad it used to be
Of course Facebook is still a system app that can only be disabled, not uninstalled (ADB fuckery aside)
The motorola had a gesture to use the torch which I think I'll miss
I'll also miss my beloved two button gesture navigation (I will never forgive google for taking it from me) but whatever I'll live
Idk it has the normal phone things like a ridiculous camera bump, camera cutout at the top of the screen, rounded over screen corners, all things I begrudgingly accept
Has a headphone jack at least!
Oh also the pins on the back? It's just USB. What else would it be?
Oh and an analog pin for miscellaneous purposes, I think.. identification? Is the purpose they suggest, like to tell what accessory you've plugged in?? Not sure really
I think that does mean it's more necessary than usual to have a case on, cause it seems a lot easier to bridge those pins than the ones in the usb-c connector
Which ultimately is how it's intended to be used, with your accessories being cases or "outfits" as they keep calling them
I believe the ones they offer currently are a ring light around the camera that can flip up for selfies too, a controller, and a rugged one that has.. some buttons? Apparently an extra usb-c port?
Oh and the obvious nothing one, just a clear case
Idk is that enough thoughts on it
