The last of the ritual 3 harvests for Solkatt is complete. The big olβ jars are filling up today and Solkatt will be ready once again mid August. βοΈπββ¬
With an outpouring of messages about running out and needing more I had intended on an earlier release date. But our summer began with a month of solid rain so it will be released earlier than usual, perhaps by a week. I did try lol.
I am so looking forward to sending this heirloom oil all over the place again and hearing your feedback as always.

π₯ One of my original pieces was accepted into a summer gallery exhibit. ππ»
π₯Another one of my original wood burnings was recently accepted into a juried art show that had over 350 applicants! I'm both nervous and thrilled about this. ππΌ
π₯ My goal is to have my website up and running by the beginning of August. I will sell ALL originals there and shipping will be FREE!
π₯ My prints will still be available through Etsy. I'm doing it this way because Etsy calculates shipping and generates shipping labels which is nice for prints since they are more consistent in size, weight, etc.
π₯ Reached my marketing goal for the year by getting 10K followers on TikTok and 1K on Instagram.
π₯ Last news is that I had to delete the chat attached to this channel because it was just getting flooded with spam bots and I don't have time for that.
Thank you all so much for supporting my work! Becoming a full time artist (in some form or another) has been a dream of mine for a very long time and having so much support while I'm working towards that goal has meant everything. π€

SΓ³lfar features Mary Anna's exquisite bezel beaded amber pendants on my lace, with bead embroidery throughout. The necklace is fastened with buttons fashioned from mother of pearl, and the earrings sit atop nickel-free iron hardware. The lace is crocheted organic cotton lacework.
SΓ³lfar is available as a set on my Etsy, Wheat & Sky. As always on my shop, shipping is completely free.

I'm in the designing phase of my next piece! This rough little sketch is helping me shape the composition and decide what I want to include in this piece.
The concept behind it will include an equal balance of the things in nature that nourish & give life in contrast to the poisonous, deadly things that can take life away.
So far, I will be including oyster mushrooms, white oleanders, deadly nightshade, dandelions, foxglove, morels, king stropharia mushrooms, fly agoric, a grasshopper, and a poison dart frog. β¨

Pyrographed a partial cow skull I've kept for many years. It's only really the very top of the cranium, sort of the forehead area. The snake design is inspired by the many Viking and Migration era brooches I saw last week at the historical museum, and can be viewed either with the head of the serpent pointing up or down.
