Looking over the final art for the children’s rune picture book I’ve been working on for some time -

Here’s a look at some of the beautiful images drawn by the same artist who did the work on my first kid’s book “You Are Your People.”

Looking forward to putting out another book for young readers to connect with their culture and heritage in a positive and uplifting way.

I started a new piece today based on a medieval castle in Spain called Alcazar of Segovia. I've quickly learned that olive wood, while gorgeous, is absolutely terrible for pyrography! Can you guess why?

It's because it's super oily! It secretes as you burn which makes the burn line bleed. Very hard to get clean thin lines because of this so hopefully this won't end in disaster! 😅

Just shipped the last remaining original for sale on my Etsy today which is a wonderful feeling!

I will be continuing to focus on larger pieces this summer for gallery showings in the fall and winter. All of the originals will be available for purchase after the exhibits are over.

In the meantime, a wider variety of prints will be available soon. ❤️‍🔥

I feel like I've worked really hard and learned so much with this medium in under a year. I'm pretty proud about that. 🥹❤️‍🔥

I painted a little study of a fox today. Got the colors a little darker than intended, but I think it turned out okay! 😅

"Window To Another Time" is an original design hand burned on olive wood. It's based on the Alcázar of Segovia, a beautiful medieval castle in Spain.

Just want to add that my phone camera does not do these justice! They turned out so beautiful.
