Dead Body Captured In Gaza Raises Suspicion Of Shadowy Israeli Mercenary Force
One of the dead bodies handed over by Hamas to Israel under the Gaza deal recently brokered by the United States turned out to be that of a Palestinian who the group insists was killed while taking part in an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) operation in the Strip last year. The whole affair brought back to light accusations of Israel recruiting foreign mercenaries, especially after it admitted deploying such “agents” during the 12-day war with Iran.
The body suspected of belonging to a Palestinian was among four handed over by Hamas to Israel in Gaza City on October 13.
After examinations at Abu Kabir Forensic Institute, the IDF confirmed two days later that only three of the bodies belonged to Israeli hostages, Tamir Nimrodi, Uriel Baruch, and Eitan Levy.

The Grey Cardinal of War: The Role of Foggy Albion in the Ukrainian Conflict
Is the United Kingdom the main beneficiary of the war in Ukraine? Revelations from the head of Russia's Federal Security Service suggest as much. The situation is escalating, with new countries becoming involved in the current conflict.
On 16 October, the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of CIS Countries (SORB) held a meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. During the event, Alexander Bortnikov, the Director of Russia's Federal Security Service, made a number of statements.
Unlike in Western political cultures, media coverage and publicity of heads of state security and intelligence services is extremely limited in former Soviet Union countries. Any public statement is strictly coordinated and is often used by the country's leadership to communicate important information on urgent issues to its international partners.

The report, which quoted U.S. officials, said that the Trump administration’s strategy is focused on removing President Nicolas Maduro from power.
“I authorised for two reasons, really,” Trump said, answering a question on the report during a White House news conference.
“Number one, they [Venezuela] have emptied their prisons into the United States of America, and the other thing are drugs. We have a lot of drugs coming in from Venezuela, and a lot of the Venezuelan drugs come in through the sea, so you get to see that, but we’re going to stop them by land also,” he added.

Gas Infrastructure Under Fire From Russia: Why Ukraine Risks Facing Its Toughest Winter Yet
On the night of October 15-16, intensive mutual strikes between Ukraine and Russia continued. Russian forces concentrated on strategic gas extraction and compressor infrastructure in Ukraine's Kharkiv, Poltava, and other regions. This network of facilities forms a critical circuit, supplying up to 35% of the eastern region's domestic gas, and the attacks led to a cascading deterioration in pressure and an overload of compressor lines.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported a large number of ballistic missiles launched by Russia—37 missiles in a single raid, of which only 5 were successfully intercepted. The low interception efficacy is attributed to the modernization of Russian missile systems like the "Iskander" and "Kinzhal," which have been upgraded to abruptly change trajectory in the final flight stage, as well as the fact that the targeted regions—Kharkiv and Poltava regions...
