How can people still think his lyrics are literal?

I don’t understand. I have to assume that these people haven’t actually ever really listened to the lyrics, or maybe have never even listened to his music - but if this is the case, why do they feel like they can make statements?
His lyrics are so nuanced. They’re riddled with irony, self deprecation and humour. More often than not, he used slim shady to essentially hold up a mirror to society.

“I guess there’s a slim shady in all of us”

Other times, slim shady expressed Marshall’s own dark thoughts (stemming from immense bullying and abuse), which he will never act upon.
Idk, its all good with me if someone hates em, but could they at least listen to some songs and try to understand what he’s all about before they go around regurgitating unfounded opinions about his lyrics? I think this should apply to all artists.
