Life is such a fleeting moment in time - Tales of the old forest faeries

This is a follow-on from this post. Millennial Woes rightly suggested, in his article, that:

"No matter how hot it gets, the fact is that the British public have not yet suffered enough. Their wifi still works, their water is still clean, most of their daughters still walk home from school unmolested, and their half-Arab colleague still favours Jay-Z over jihad - for now."

But I'm here to warn you about something that I don't think anyone else is going to warn you about: There will be no societal collapse; things will never get 'bad enough'.

My friend Bloody Pirate Smith and I once spoke about the concept of 'Voluntary Collapse', where your living standard only truly collapses if you choose not to abide the new society. The technocrats will offer a blue pill - an antidote to collapse. It will be Digital ID, CBDC, UBI, AI, vaccines, cybernetic augmentations etc. Accept all of that and your material standard of living will be preserved. Only those who determinedly reject all of that will see any kind of 'collapse'.

Societal collapse is a fantasy. The oligarchs/technocrats who currently have designs upon a new global society are not about to abandon their plans by permitting any kind of genuine collapse of civilisation to occur. They don't mind us dreaming about it, because it keeps our focus on a false threat, whilst the real threat is our own weakness, comfort and compliance.

It will take the most imaginative, stubborn, principled, bull-headed, seemingly-retarded mindset to choose Voluntary Collapse ("Why would you make life so much more difficult for yourself?"). However difficult it is for everyone to let go of the smartphone, refusing Digital ID and the trappings of the new society will be harder.

On a positive note, Voluntary Collapse is nothing less than a return to natural, self-sufficient living, and it can be relatively painless if we start now. Stop waiting for collapse and start choosing it.

The woodlander initiative has gone from strength to strength over the last year. We have secured over 20 acres in four different locations within the UK, land that can be utilised by our members. We now have over 20 of our members who have worked with us to secure ownership of their own land. We have raised well over £150,000 and increased membership to over 1000.

We have begun building projects, permaculture and self sufficiency, we have a fishing club, we recently ran short introductory courses on solar systems for electricity and communication systems that are not Internet based.

We have laid the foundation, with strong families and determined individuals. Together we will build a better system and society for our people. Like the acorns we planted that will one day be mighty oaks, so to will our small beginnings flourish and become our new future.

Last year we were part of the pan European conference for parallel societies and intentional communities. This included organisations from Germany, the UK, America, Sweden and South Africa.

We believe that in order for our people to flourish and fulfil their full potential they need a society fit for purpose and that society has to be built by us. No one is coming to the rescue, no amount of voting is going to help, society gets progressively worse, the collapse is already here, its just slow and never ending. If we really want change we need to understand it can not be done from within the system, we have to step outside and build our own parallel system, a new society.
