CALL FOR TEACHER NARRATIVES



AINET proposes to publish a series of selected narratives of experience(s) of its members in soft form periodically. The details are listed below:

What are narratives of experience?
They are a short account of interesting experience(s) that you wish to share with a wider audience. Your narrative can include:
● a reflective note about an experiment you conducted in the classroom
● an experience of classroom research
● an account of your teacher professional development journey
● a description of a critical moment in the classroom
● a memorable lesson
● your experience of having attended an AINET sponsored training/professional development programme
● an interesting app that you’ve learnt about and why you would recommend it to other teachers, and so on.

What should be the length of the write-up?
Ideally, they should be written in 800-1000 words.

What is the deadline to apply?
The deadline for the submission of narratives for the first issue is 23 August 2021. In case you miss this deadline you are welcome to submit your write-up for the subsequent issues. To submit please click: www.bit.ly/ainetafd21


What happens after the submission?
The AINET editorial team will work on the submissions, take final selection decisions about the narratives, and publish the selected narratives in an e-book form on the AINET website.

CALLING THE POET HIDDEN IN YOU!
AINET is pleased to invite ORIGINAL and UNPUBLISHED poems from English Teachers about any colours, shades or emotions of their work lives! Put in poetic words any fun moments, traumas, tribulations, joys and stresses, insights and lessons – in short, anything that you deeply feel about – from the colourful world of English teaching and learning.
Follow the points mentioned in the attached announcement.
Send your poems (max. two entries per participant) as a Word Doc attachment to: [email protected] with CC to Dr. Prithviraj Thakur [email protected].
If you wish your submission to be considered for the ELT Mushayra, please send it by 27th August 2021. If not, you may send your poems till 30th September 2021 to be considered for publication in the anthology.
