Mimicry occurs when one species of animal (the mimic) resembles another species that has easily recognizable characteristics (the model) and as a result deceives a potential predator (the dupe) that might otherwise capture and eat it.

People often talk about downward spiral.

"He got into a downward spiral, He lost his girlfriend, he started drinking, he lost his friends, he drunk more, and then, in a downward spiral."

You know what else is real? Upward Spiral.

"He started training more, so he had more energy, he started working more, so he had more money, and he goes up from there"

The upward spiral is exactly the same. It is fueled entirely by ego.

In the Koran, it said that Dhu al-Qarnayn, “The Two Horned One” - that being, Alexander the Great - contained the onslaught of the peoples of Gog and Magog by building an iron wall.

The Alexandrian Romance describe the people of these states as Unclean Peoples, and it is particularly stated they practice cannibalism, and ate worms dogs and fetuses.

This story is also told in the Jewish Torah, in Ezekiel and in the Christian Bible, in Revelations.

It is said that at the end of days, Alexander’s Wall will be toppled by allies of Satan - and that the Unclean will asset themselves into the world.

In the Ezekiel, the Gog oracle tells how Gog and his hordes will threaten the restored Israel but will be destroyed, after which God will establish a new Temple and dwell with his people for a period of lasting peace.

Christianity tells that “Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the Earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.”

Islam tells us that Dhul-Qarnayn, having journeyed to the ends of the world, meets "a people who scarcely understood a word" who seek his help in building a barrier that will separate them from the people of Yajuj and Majuj (Gog & Magog) who "do great mischief on earth". He agrees to build it for them, but warns that when the time comes (Last Age), God will remove the barrier.

These people may represent in this context the "demonic" element that in the traditional hierarchies was successfully subjugated; one day
these people will flood the earth in pursuit of conquest but they will
ultimately be challenged by figures who, according to medieval sagas, will embody the archetype of the leaders of the Holy Roman Empire.

A similar idea is expressed in some Nordic traditions with the image of the bulwarks that protect the "middle abode" (the legendary Midgard) from the elementary powers and that one day will be overpowered during the "twilight of the gods".
