βDonβt let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.β
Romans 12:21 NLT
The best way to get back at evil is by doing good and not by doing the same evil or worse.
Good conquers evil, good overcomes evil, good overshadows evil.
Even when you see evil all around you, be that good that overshadows the evil. Donβt allow evil to conquer you . Ask God for strength and courage to keep doing good because evil shall never prevail where His children are.Amen.

Are we saved by our works to any extent? Faith without works is dead right? So must I work to be saved?

So many things on our mind. But if itβs not falling in the categories that God has given us for it to fall under then it shouldnβt be on our mind.
Only true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy thoughts should fill our mind or else we should correct the way we think.
You see how every advice you need is in the word? If you get to know God through the word youβll just realize Him looking out for you in almost every scripture
But today, God is saying, think positiveβ€οΈ

Beloved, do you know why you were created? For what particular reason did God take the trouble to creat man and give him dominion over all things created? The great controversy between good and evil, between Jesus Christ and Lucifer necessitated the creation of man. Man was created to vindicate the creator God after the rebellion and disobedience of Lucifer and his minions; to prove to the angelic host that God was right in his decision to expel Lucifer from heaven. This is the one purpose for which man was created, whatever one does outside of this is all vanity. Your acquisition of material wealth, your status and fame in this world mean nothing if it does not contribute to the work of vindicating God. That is why God requires the entire surrender of the heart, before justification can take place. Justification is when a sinner, a law breaker is declared innocent as if he had not sinned before. In order for man to retain justification, he must surrender to Christ Jesus and continually obey through active, living faith that works by love and purifies the soul. Our walk with Christ is not an event. You donβt become an angel as soon as you are justified. What follows justification is sanctification: God maintaining our status as his children, keeping us close to himself and directing us along the way. We may fall, we may do things that do not honour God, but Christ will not abandon us, he forgives when with contrite heart we ask for forgiveness. This is growth in Christ, until we come to a point where we become solid in the word. At this point absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Remember that at this point we are still not angels, we are sinners on the sickbed with Christ as our Doctor and healer. A close relationship with Jesus Christ and daily communion with him in prayer, studying the word and witnessing (spreading the gospel, explaining the word of God to those who do not understand, making Christ known to them) will keep us afloat as Godβs children. Remember again that our enemy, the adversary will not relent in his efforts to get us back under his dominion, but with Christ as the pilot our flight will land safely. Beloved, God has been gracious to us, he has done everything that needs to be done to ensure our salvation and redemption. Our part is to submit our will to Christ and let him take over. Until we do this Christ will not compel us to come to him. He says: βCome to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.β Beloved, Christ invites you: βBehold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.β This is the clarion call; will you respond? Shalom, peace and life to you.
