This is possible due to smart contracts that work purely on blockchain.

💎 DApps - Decentralized applications
These are applications built and running on top of a blockchain technology. The variety of applications is unlimited and may include web browsers, games, investment tools, blogging platforms, etc.

How does TON fit into DeFi?
TON is a decentralized blockchain technology that can process millions of transactions every second which allows for instant payments. TON aims to make DeFi more understandable and easily accessible to more people and serves as a platform for building DApps.

TON mining is over: all Toncoins are distributed.

Most of you might have already heard that PoW Givers dried out last night. This means that all coins are in TON community’s hands. From now on, TON blockchain will be supported by a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism.

When Toncoin mining was still in its active stage, it was possible to participate in mining pools and earn cryptocurrency by lending a computer’s GPU to provide the power necessary for extracting coins. If you're interested to continue mining and earning Toncoin, consider the new initiative launched by TON Whales. TON Whales team set up an Infinity Mining Pool, where participants mine BTC and ETH, and get rewarded in TON for lending their GPU or ASIC computing powers.

We interviewed Ellen Sheidlin, a world-famous digital artist, who is launching her first NFT collection “Annihilation” on the TON blockchain.

Ellen shared some interesting information about what her collection will be like, "It will consist of 1000 living stones divided into races of birds, animals, insects and plants." Annihilation will go on sale next week on the TON Diamonds marketplace.

We published a new article in collaboration with The Daily TON, unveiling the history of TON in the last 3 years.

June 26, 2020, marked a pivotal moment for Telegram as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) prohibited the messenger from releasing Gram tokens and launching Telegram Open Network blockchain. The SEC and Telegram reached an agreement: for the next three years, Telegram committed to informing the regulator about any plans to introduce new digital tokens based on Telegram Open Network blockchain. Telegram withdrew from the project.

Jettons update on TON App.

Jettons are custom fungible tokens on TON Blockchain. We've collected all the main jettons on one page in a convenient table. Now you can see the list and statistics of the most popular tokens based on TON right on the catalog's website.

Soon you will be able to sort the jettons based on price and trade volume.

You can also leave reviews on individual jettons' pages. In the future, these reviews will influence the rating and its position in the general list.

Updated design for adding applications to TON App.

TON App's process for adding applications has been upgraded with a new design. Previously, you would add and edit applications through a Telegram bot. However, TON App has undergone significant changes in recent months. The bot is no longer active, and instead, you can conveniently add and edit applications using the user-friendly interface directly on the website.

How to add an application to the TON App catalog?
• Log into your ton.app account with Telegram.
• Click on your profile and select "Add App."
• You will see a page with the application. Follow the recommendations and fill in the fields.
• When you’re done, click "Submit for review" to send the application for moderation.

You can edit your applications in a similar way. In your profile, go to the "My Apps" tab. Select the desired application and click "Edit."

After adding or editing an application, it will be sent for moderation, which may take up to 12 hours. You can track the status in "My Apps" tab.

Additionally, you can now add platforms: iOS, Android, Web Extension, and Telegram. The specified platforms will be displayed as icons next to the application on the category page.

If you encounter any issues with adding or editing applications, you can get in touch with our support.

TON App Badge — a special way for top applications to stand out even more.

Now, each app in the top 7 of its category gets a unique badge. When you click on the badge, a pop-up window with a code will appear. You can embed this code onto your website. For example, you can add it to the footer, just like the TON Diamonds project has already done.

This way, developers can showcase the popularity and positive reputation of their app within TON Ecosystem.

This innovation will also help enhance the indexing of apps in search engines. With the badge in place, a new audience will have an easier time finding the service they are interested in.

We have implemented badges that indicate an app's position in the following categories: Staking, Explorers, Utilities, NFT, Social, DEX, Games, and Wallets.

Updates of the TON App catalog: extra categories and improved interface for app submission.

In the past month, we've added new categories: VPN, Dev Tools, Launchpads, Shopping, and the NFT section has been split into Collections & Services.

We've also improved the interface for app submission and editing. Now you can add the links to Telegram resources (channels, chats and bots), as well as other social media. For projects with an open-source repository, it's also possible to add a link to GitHub.

The information about the new resources will be displayed on the individual page of each app in the catalog. As a result, it will be easier for people to find all the important links to your project.
