By thy thunderings, thy roaring,
The sky, by light is scissored.
The earth's grief thus twitched,
Thy tears, day by day drizzling.
The window that the rain kissed,
Though life as seas be drowning.
That breath, to death so crawled,
That rift that's silence quickening.
If life, though blooming be so ebbing,
If blossoms, with breath dry blood—
If raindrops, on windows sorrow bring,
Then thaw do fires, though unguarded.

There's a silence only the nights have known how to embrace. There's a silence only the scars have kissed.
There's a love only the moon has known how to pour. There's a love only the stars have known how to watch;
There are skies only the broken wings have soared. There are skies whose energy only eyes can feel,
There's a peace only the sun can seep through. There's a peace only solitude has known how to keep.

And maybe love isn't a gem we dig and find; maybe love isn't our work either. Maybe love is the cosmos we happen to be around; maybe love is the sea we find ourselves drowning into— and we begin to enjoy it. And that's perfect: for we have eyes, skin, breath, gravity. What better way, what better thing— to be human, than to enjoy the sea, to enjoy the love that is right immensely before us.
