NEW - Billionaire Peter Thiel invests in Varda Space’s mission to manufacture pharmaceuticals in Orbit, bringing Varda's total funding to $329 million.

Varda uses microgravity to create pharmaceuticals, like novel drug formulations, difficult to produce on Earth. It has completed three successful missions, with a fourth in orbit and a fifth planned. Varda plans to scale its orbital labs for mass drug production, with vehicles capable of yielding up to 50 kilograms of active pharmaceutical ingredients per mission.
