1. Indian tourist arrivals to Azerbaijan increased by 68% during 2022-2024, and the average stay time in Azerbaijan is 4-6 days. The average stay of Indians in Turkey is 7-10 days.

2. Overall, Indians contribute Rs 1,000-1,250 Crore annually to Azerbaijan's economy.

3. Indians contribute Rs 2,900-3,350 crore annually to Turkey's economy. Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Antalya see the highest interest from Indians.

4. Average spending per Indian tourist abroad is Rs 1-1.25 Lakh per trip.

5. As India's middle class has expanded to 40 Crores with extra income, popularity through social media and films is attracting them to Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The cherry on the top is that Azerbaijan and Turkey have implemented visa facilitation measures for Indians.

Even airlines increased flight routes between major Indian cities and Baku/Istanbul for seamless travel.

Due to India, Turkey, and Azerbaijan saw the creation of 20,000 direct tourism jobs. Indirect jobs are more than 45,000-60,000.

Also, Indian investments in the Turkish hospitality sector increased by 35% in the last 4 years.

Starting from weddings, family travel, luxury shopping, entertainment, to medical tourism, Indians are just visiting these countries for more reasons.

And now, after Operation Sindoor, Turkey and Azerbaijan have clearly supported Pakistan and raised their voice against India.

They even supported Pakistan's claim of conducting a neutral investigation into the Pahalgam terror attack.
