🌟YAUM AL ARAFAH - 9th Dhul-Hijjah REMINDERS 🌟
PART 1️⃣
SIGNIFICANCE AND VIRTUES:
1️⃣Fasting on the day of Arafah is an expiation for two years. : (For Non Pilgrims)
The ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah is the day of ’Arafah, since it is on this day that the pilgrims gather at the mountain plain of ’Arafah, praying and supplicating to their Lord. It is mustahabb (highly recommended) for those who are not pilgrims to fast on this day, since the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) was asked about fasting on the day of ’Arafah, so he said,
🔹“It expiates the sins (Minor) of the past year and the coming year.” [Muslim (no. 1162)]
Imaam at-Tirmidhee (d.275H) – rahimahullaah – said,
“The People of Knowledge consider it recommended to fast on the day of ’Arafah, except for those at ’Arafah.”
[Muslim (no. 1348)]
2️⃣Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala frees slaves from the fire on Arafat more than any other day:
Likewise, the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, ‘There is no day on which Allaah frees people from the Fire more so than on the day of ’Arafah. He comes close to those (people standing on ’Arafah), and then He revels before His Angels saying, ‘What are these people seeking.”
[Jaami’ut-Tirmidhee (3/377)]
3⃣Forgiveness of the Sins even if they are like the foam on the Sea:
As for you staying till the evening in Arafah, then Allaah descends to the sky of the Duniya and He boasts about you to the Angels, and says: ‘My slaves have come to Me, looking rough, from every deep valley hoping for My mercy, so if your sins were equivalent to the amount of sand or the drops of rain or like the foam on the sea I will forgive them. So go forth My slaves! Having forgiveness and for what or who you have interceded for.’
📚[ Taken from ‘Saheeh al-Targheeb wa Tarheeb’. Volume 2,Page 9-10, hadeeth no. 1112]
4⃣It is the day on which the religion was perfected and Allaah’s Favour was completed:
It was reported from ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) that a Jewish man said to him, “O Ameer al-Mu’mineen, there is an aayah in your Book which you recite; if it had come to us Jews, we would have taken that day as an ‘Eid (festival).” ‘Umar said, “Which aayah?” He said: “This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” [al-Maa’idah 5:3 – interpretation of the meaning]. ‘Umar said, “We know on which day and in which place that was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). It was when he was standing in ‘Arafaah on a Friday.”
📚 [Sahîh Al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim]
5⃣Allaah expresses His pride to His angels:
It was reported from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah expresses His pride to His angels at the time of ‘Ishaa’ on the Day of ‘Arafaah, about the people of ‘Arafaah. He says, ‘Look at My slaves who have come unkempt and dusty.’”
📚Narrated by Ahmad and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.
6⃣The standing on ‘Arafaat is the hajj.
The standing on ‘Arafaat is the hajj. The crowds should remind you of the Day of Resurrection. Humble yourself to Allaah, manifest your ‘uboodiyyah to Him Alone through du’aa, sincere intention and strong determination to free yourself from the sins of the past and to build up a commitment to rush for doing what is good. Think of becoming a better person when you return. Rid yourself of false pride and showing off because it may ruin what you gain on this day.

🌟YAUM AL ARAFAH - 9th Dhul-Hijjah REMINDERS 🌟
PART 2️⃣
The Salaf on the Day of ‘Arafah
1. Hakeem bin Hizaam (radhiyallaahu ‘anhu) would stand at ‘Arafah and with him would be one hundred camels, and one hundred slaves, so he would free his slaves. So the people would become boisterous with weeping and supplicating saying: “Our Lord; this is your slave who has freed his slaves; and we are your slaves so liberate us [i.e. from The Fire].”
2. Ibn Al-Mubaarak said: “I came to Sufyaan At-Thawree (rahimahullaah) on the evening of the day of ‘Arafah and he was kneeling upon his knees and his eyes were shedding tears. So I said to him: ‘who is in the worst condition from this gathering?’ so he said: ‘the one who thinks that Allaah will not forgive them.’”
3. It is reported that Al-Fudhail bin ‘Iyaad once looked at the weeping of the people at ‘Arafah and said: “Do you see that if these people were to go to a man and ask him for a Daaniq (a sixth of a dirham or a small silver coin) that he would refuse them?” they said: “No; by Allaah.” So he said: “By Allaah; Forgiveness with Allaah is easier than the compliance of a man for a Daaniq.”
4. Sufyaan At-Thawree said to someone who asked him as the people moved from ‘Arafah to Muzdalifah: “who from the people is most at loss in deal?” – alluding to the oppressive and people of wickedness. So he said: “the people most at loss in deal is the one who thinks that Allaah, The Most High, will not forgive these people.”
5. Ibn Al-Jawzi mentioned with his chain of narration that Muttarrif and Bakr bin ‘Abdillaah both stood at ‘Arafah, so Muttarrif said: “O Allaah; do not refuse them [the people] because of me.” Bakr said: “there is no better station than it nor one of more hope for its people; were it not that I was amongst them.”
6. Al-Fudhail said to Shu’aib bin Harb during the Hajj season: “If you think that there is anyone who witnessed the standing (at ‘Arafah) worse than me and you – then what a bad thing you think."
7. ‘Umar bin ‘Abdil-‘Azeez (rahimahullaah) gave a sermon at ‘Arafah and said: “Indeed; you have come from near and far, and have exhausted the backs and have worn out the garments. And the one who is foremost today is not the one whose riding beast and riding camel precedes; rather the one who is foremost today is the one who is forgiven.”

Today, the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah in Makkah, marks the beginning of HAJJ, the most important journey of a Muslim's Life!
The Pilgrims have to reach Mina -The Tent City before noon today!
From Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه) from the Prophet (ﷺ):
A person does not ever make Talbeeyah [for those on Hajj] except that he is given glad tidings, nor does a person ever say Takbeer [Allahu Akbar] except that he is given glad tidings.
It was asked: With Paradise?
He answered: Yes.
[Collected by Tabarani & Al-Albaani said its Isnad is Hasan in Silsilah as-Saheehah no. 1621]
💎May Allaah SubhaanaHu wa Ta'ala Ease it for all the Hujjaaj to fulfill all the Pillars and Obligatory Acts of Hajj and Accept it from all!
💎May Allaah SubhaanaHu wa Grant us all an opportunity to fulfill this Pillar of Islam soon!

🌟YAUM AL ARAFAH - 9th Dhul-Hijjah REMINDERS 🌟
PART 4️⃣
WHEN TO FAST THE YAUM AL ARAFAH - WITH KSA OR WITH OUR COUNTRY?
Alhamdulillaah beautifully explained by Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله.
❓Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: what if the day of ‘Arafah is different because of the moon being sighted at different times in different countries? Should we fast according to the moon sighting in the country where we are or according to the moon sighting in al-Haramayn (the two Holy Sanctuaries)?
🎓He replied: This is based on a difference of opinion among the scholars: Is there only one moon sighting for the whole world or does it vary according to when the moon rises in different places?
➡️The correct view is that it varies according to when the moon rises in different places. For example, if the moon is sighted in Makkah, and today is the ninth, and it is sighted elsewhere one day before Makkah, and the day of ‘Arafah in Makkah is the tenth for them, it is not permissible for them to fast on this day because it is Eid. Similarly if it so happens that they sight the moon after Makkah, and the 9th in Makkah is the 8th for them, then they should fast the day that is the 9th for them, which is the 10th in Makkah. This is the correct view, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When you see it (the new moon) fast and when you see it break your fast.” Those who did not see the moon in their own location have not seen it. Just as people are unanimously agreed that the times for dawn and sunset vary according to their own location, so too the months are also worked out by location, just like the daily timings.
📚Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 20.
📝Admin's Note:
These are blessed days so we should hasten to do as much good deeds we can, bi'iznillaah. It was a Sunnah of Rasoolullaah Salallaahu alaihi wasalam to fast all these 9 fasts. And as many people of Knowledge say, we should fast on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah of KSA as well to be on safer side. And Allaah Knows the Best.

🌟YAUM AL ARAFAH - 9th Dhul-Hijjah REMINDERS 🌟
PART 5️⃣
📌 KEEP YOUR DUA AND ZIKR LIST READY!
THE DAY OF ARAFAH - THE DAY OF DU'A!
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The best Dua is the Dua (made) on the day of Arafah”.
Al Walid Ibn Muslim mentioned in "kitabu Duaa" that azZuhri and Makhool said: "we didn't learn that the Messenger of Allaah (peace be upon him)raised his hands to a full extent except in three situations:
📌Ashiyyat* Arafah,
📌Istisqaa (asking for rain)
📌Asking for victory (in war)
📚Fath-ul Baari by Ibn RajB 9/219
*Sheikh Muhammad AL Amin Shinqiti said :
(Al Ashiyyah is between the time when the sun crosses the Meridian [beginning of Dhuhr time] until sunset)
📚Adhwaa' Al Bayaan 79/47
🏆SO THIS IS THE BEST TIME TO MAKE DU'A ON THE DAY OF ARAFAH🏆
🔰Imam An Nawawi (رحمه الله) said about the Dua on the Day of Arafah:
"This is the best day in the year for supplicating, thus it befits a person to fully devote his efforts in making Dhikr, Du'ā' and reciting the Qur'ān; and he should supplicate with the different kinds of Du'ās and read the different kinds of Dhikr. He should supplicate for himself, his parents, relatives, Mashāyikh, companions, friends, loved ones and any one else who was good to him as well as all the Muslims. And let him be fully cautious from falling short in any of these as this day cannot be made up."
📚{كتاب الأذكار للنووي طبعة دار المنهاج ص ٣٣٣}
🔰Ustaadh Bin AbdilWali حفظه الله:
"Know that If you are given the Tawfeeq on the day of Arafah to raise your hands and make sincere Dua to Allah, realising that there is none besides Allah that can fulfil your needs, then expect to achieve all the good you asked for, and be confident that your worries will vanish.
Like the great Taabi'i Ataa bin Abi Rabaah (may Allah have mercy on his soul) said:
"When Allah releases your tongue and makes it easy for you to make Dua, then know that Allah wants to grant you that which you desire, regardless of how great your desire or request is. So if you find yourself always asking Allah for Al-Firdaws (the highest level in Jannah) then know that Allah wants to enter you into it, otherwise he would have prevented you from making that Dua like he has prevented others besides you."

📚{كتاب الأذكار للنووي طبعة دار المنهاج ص ٣٣٣}
