Rights of Knowledge

Shaykh Abdur-Rahman Ibn Sa‘di (رحمه الله) said:

“Whoever Allah has blessed with knowledge must acknowledge Allah’s favor upon him, and say as the angels and the messengers said: ‘Glory be to You! We have no knowledge except what You have taught us.’ He must also avoid speaking about what he does not know. For knowledge is among the greatest blessings, and the gratitude for this blessing is: to acknowledge it as being from Allah, to praise Him for teaching it, to teach the ignorant, to act in accordance with what the slave has learned, and to remain silent regarding what he has not been taught.”

📚[Tayseer al-Lateef al-Mannān, (1/180)]
From the Means of Being Saved from the Punishment of the Grave

Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) said,
whilst mentioning the means of being saved from the punishement of the grave:

"Among the most beneficial things regarding this is that when a person wishes to sleep, he sits for a while and takes himself to account for what he has lost and earned [in the way of good deeds] during his day.
Then he renews a sincere repentance between himself and Allah, and goes to sleep upon that repentance, firmly intending not to return to sin when he awakens — and he does this every night.
If he dies that night, he dies upon repentance. And if he wakes up, he wakes ready to do deeds, rejoicing that his life has been extended so he may meet his Lord and make up for what he missed.
There is nothing more beneficial for a servant than this sleep — especially if it is followed by remembrance of Allah and practicing the Sunnahs reported from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before sleeping, until sleep overcomes him. Whoever Allah wills good for, He grants him success in this.
"

🌟How good is our relationship with the Qur'aan? 🌟

📗 Hadeeth:

Narrated Ziyad bin Labid: Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم spoke of something and said:

❝It will happen when knowledge will be no more. ❞

I said: “Allaah’s Messenger, how will knowledge vanish despite the fact that we will be reciting the Qur’aan and teaching its recitation to our children and our children will teach its recitation to their children up to the Day of Resurrection?” Thereupon he said:

❝Ziyad, may your mother weep over you. I was of the opinion that you were one of those who have the greatest understanding of religion in Madeenah. Do these Jews and Christians not recite the Torah and the Bible but not act according to what is contained in them?❞

📑 [Tirmidhee (2653), Ibn Maajah (4048) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

🔥 And there was a time in the early 2000's where the Muslims knew more about the biblical version of the story of Yunus (Jonah) عليه السلام than what was mentioned in the Qur'aan and the Sunnah.

⭐️[Have Good Thoughts of Allah; He Can Do More For You Than You Could Possibly Imagine]

1️⃣ The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“When one of you wishes for something, let him ask for much, for he is asking none else than his Lord.” [Narrated by Abul Qāsim al-Tabarani in al-Awsat, and authenticated by al-Albani].

In another wording he (ﷺ) said:

“When one of you asks, let him ask for much, for he is asking none else than his Lord.” [Narrated by Ibn Hibban and authenticated by al-Albani].

2️⃣ In Musnad Ahmad, from the hadith of Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“No Muslim makes a supplication that does not involve sin or cutting of family ties, except that Allah will give him one of three things:

Either He will hasten the response to his supplication, or He will save it for him in the Hereafter, or He will divert from him an equivalent amount of harm.” They said, “Then we will ask for more!” He said, “Allah is even more [generous].”

[Authenticated by al-Albani in Sahih al-Targhīb wal-Tarhīb].

3️⃣ On the authority of Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), he said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“Allah, the Exalted, says: ‘I am as My servant thinks of Me.’” [Agreed upon].

4️⃣ And in Musnad Ahmad from him (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: ‘I am as My servant thinks of Me; if he thinks good of Me, he will have it, and if he thinks evil of Me, he will have it.’”

The meaning is: “I deal with him according to how he thinks of Me, and I do with him what he expects from Me—whether it is good or bad” (as mentioned in Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi).

🖊️ Abu al-Abbas al-Qurtubi said:

“It is said that the meaning is to expect a response when supplicating, to expect acceptance when repenting, to expect forgiveness when seeking forgiveness, and to expect the acceptance of deeds when performing them with their proper conditions, holding firmly to Allah’s truthful promise and immense bounty.”

He continued:

“What supports this is the statement of the Prophet (ﷺ): ‘Call upon Allah while being certain of the response’ – narrated by al-Tirmidhi with an authentic chain of transmission.

Likewise, the one repenting, the one seeking forgiveness, and the one performing righteous deeds should strive to fulfill their obligations, being certain that Allah will accept their actions and forgive their sins. For indeed, Allah has promised to accept sincere repentance and righteous deeds.

(Al-Mufhim Sharh Muslim, 7/5-6).

Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal رحمه الله said,

I used to memorize the Quran; then when I started to memorize the ahadith, I became busy, so I asked: "When will I ever finish memorizing the Quran?"

I asked Allah to bless me to memorize it but I didn't say "While in a state of well being (‘aafiyah)”

I didn't memorize it except while in prison and shackles.

So if you ask Allah for any need, say: "While in a state of well being (‘aafiyah).”

Stay away from Haraam!
Advice:

No matter how great your sins and disobedience may be, do not let Shaytan deceive you and cut off the path between you and Allah. There is no human being without sins and mistakes, and no one is free from error. Taqwa is not being safe from sin! Taqwa = repenting from sin immediately, as Ibn Taymiyyah stated.

So do not think you are doomed as long as the door of repentance remains open.

One day I will regret it!

1. I slept at dawn even though I knew that prayer was better than sleep.

2. Reciting the Quran brings peace to my heart, but I still abandoned the Quran.

3. I knew that remembering Allah brings blessings to my daily activities, but I left it out of laziness.

4. I remained heedless even though I knew that asking for forgiveness would increase my sustenance.

5. I knew that Tahajjud brings me peace, discipline, stability, and countless other benefits, but I neglected even such a precious offering and slept.

6. The door of repentance is always open, I am doing it today, I am doing it tomorrow, but I have only delayed it.

7. Even though I had the opportunity to commit a sin, if I had abandoned it, Allah would have removed my troubles. He would have eased my worries. Despite knowing this, I remained steadfast in sin. I remained involved in sin.

8. If I did any good deed, I would get a little closer to Paradise. I would move away from Hell. Despite knowing this, I remained indifferent.

One day I will regret it.
O Allah, grant me wisdom. Amen.

Men Doing Household Chores Is From The Sunnah.

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:

“When a person is at home then it is from the Sunnah, that for example he makes his own tea, cooks if he knows how to and washes up that which needs washing, all of this is from the Sunnah.

If you do this then you get the reward of following the Sunnah, with imitating the Messenger [ﷺ] and in humbling yourself for Allaah - the Mighty and Majestic.

This also brings about love between you and your wife. When your family sense that you help them in their chores they will love you and your value to them will increase, therefore, this will end up being a great benefit.”
