Xabar qilganimizdek, universitetda Jorj Vashington universiteti Markaziy Osiyo dasturi va Mustaqil ijtimoiy tadqiqotlar markazi hamkorligida “O‘zgarishdagi akademik erkinlik: maqsad, manfaatdorlar va amaliyot” mavzusida xalqaro ilmiy anjuman o‘tkazilmoqda.

Anjuman doirasida “O‘zbekistonda akademik erkinlik”, “Markaziy Osiyoda davlat nazorati va global integratsiya”, “Rossiyadagi akademik erkinlik” hamda “Talabalar va kuzatuv: akademik erkinlik, mobillik va qarshilik” mavzularida sho‘balar ish olib bordi.

Mazkur tadbirda O‘zbekiston, AQSH, Germaniya, Vengriya, Buyuk Britaniya, Estoniya, Rossiya, Qozog‘istondan nufuzli olimlar ishtirok etib, akademik mustaqillik, ilmiy halollik, inson huquqlari va ta’limdagi erkin fikr muhitini rivojlantirish bo‘yicha fikr va tajribalar almashdilar.

Anjuman yakunida ishtirokchilar akademik erkinlikni mustahkamlash — ilm-fan taraqqiyoti va jamiyatning intellektual salohiyatini yuksaltirishning muhim omili ekanini ta’kidladilar.

As previously reported, an international scientific conference on “Academic Freedom in Flux: Purpose, Beneficiaries, and Practices in the Contemporary World” is being held at the Tashkent State University of Economics in cooperation with the Central Asia Program of George Washington University (USA) and the Center for Independent Social Research.

Within the framework of the conference, several panel sessions were held on the topics of “Academic Freedom in Uzbekistan,” “State Control and Global Integration in Central Asia,” “Academic Freedom in Russia,” and “Students and Surveillance: Academic Freedom, Mobility, and Resistance.”

The event brought together distinguished scholars from Uzbekistan, the United States, Germany, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Estonia, Russia, and Kazakhstan, who exchanged ideas and experiences on promoting academic independence, research integrity, human rights, and an environment of free thought in education.

At the conclusion of the conference, participants emphasized that strengthening academic freedom is a key factor in advancing science, fostering innovation, and enhancing the intellectual potential of society.
